Sequels In retrospect - I'm disgusted with the series.

well, maybe he did do some modifications

Yea that does seem plausible. Maybe he took inspiration from one of his masks and created the Goblin one? That sounds better IMO.

^^ Defenitely seems right, IMO, Jick09. If you look at the scene in S-M3 where Harry is taking the formkula. Also, you can see maultiple Goblin masks from silver to Green (I think), which is another reason I think Norman made them himself in his Goblin lair.

yeah, that's probably it

And also, when everyone saw the gold helmet, people kept saying, "Hobgoblin is going to be in the fourth movie".
Yeah, reminds me of a time I whent into Wal-Mart when the first day the S-M3 figs were released and some guy said "That's the Hobgoblin." when it said "New Goblin" on the cover.

Wouldn't a better question be who wasn't the Goblin for a while. :oldrazz:

and yes, I believe he was. Never read whatever story this was in but I'm fairly certain he was Hobby.

Sam Raimi sucks.

This is your defense for your thread? Raimi sucks. Wow, you've convinced me this warranted its own thread. Great job there :whatever:

We have many threads in here already and all over this site that slobber all over Nolan and bash all others before him. Post your thoughts in there. What you are doing by constantly making new threads that serve the same purpose is trolling. I don't throw this word around ever, but it is.

Think before you post guys. That is all I ask.

I wouldn't say Sam Raimi sucks. I may have called him a hack but that was mainly from his 'interpretation' of Spidey.

I LOVES me some Evil Dead :woot:

Raimi is clearly not a bad director. I can give you guys fine examples of great movies he did that were not Spider-Man related. The SM3 hate he gets is REDICULOUS. Prior to TDK, SM2 was the best reviewed superhero film ever (or was tied with BB...not sure which). I just love how all the love the first 2 films have has been spit on by a bunch of fickle fanboys. Many things went into why SM3 wasn't up to par with SM1 and SM2, and many were not Raimi's fault. Raimi wasn't the man handling contracts and such, thus forcing them to rush stuff in. However, after this "abomination", it is suddenly popular to hate the first 2 movies also.

I love the fickle nature of this site, and this is exactly why I have not posted that much in the SM forums recently or many other forums since TDK came out for that matter. I just hope Nolan decides to leave the series, so the same doesn't happen to him.

The SM 1 and 2 hate is ridiculous. I adore the first and 'meh' the second. All three are like one big missed oppurtunity after another coupled wiht a healthy helping of cheese. But whatever...I'm not gonna sound like a broken record.

Point is, the SM3 hate is far from ridiculous. That was a piss-poor film compared to the ones before it, and even looked at by itself was average at it's best moments.

Raimi really is a great director. Raimi's Spider-Man changed the way people look at comic films (in a good way). Let's not forget his great Evil Dead films. I own Evil Dead 1, but haven't gotten around to buying the second and third, but I've seen them all and they are very entertaining. The first one had loads of gore. The second and third ones are just as great as well, IMO. Tbh, I can't wait for Sam Raimi's Drag Me To Hell.

Whatever. They built a whole story around Bruce Wayne and a non-romance with Rachel Dawes. A character that never even existed outside the movies.

It's hilarious because fans complain so much when Peter makes a deal with the devil and loses MJ in the comics so they can make Peter Parker/Spider-man single and swinging again. Yet people here hate Peter being attached to a woman in the movies.

Difference being the Dawes storyline was well-handled. I hated MJ in the movies and Pete's swooning over a chick who was basically a...ya know...the 'c' word...:meanie:

^^ Agreed, but you have to understand that even though we didn't like the marriage getting split apeart, what made it worse was how badly it happened. I mean, seriously, Peter making a deal with the devil? It could have happened better than that. However, I agree with you about Peter being togeather with a girl in the S-M film universe.

It is rediculous to let one movie you felt was sub par ruin other two movies for you. Does the prequel trilogy of Star Wars ruin the OT for me? No. Does Rocky IV or V ruin the first movie for me? No. And so on and so forth. What people on here have done is let one movie they felt was subpar (though I personally liked it overall) ruin two better movies. That is nonsense to me. Just like these stupid threads.

 I never said it ruined anything, for me. I still love numero uno and dos was always kinda meh to me...

Perhaps not for you, but this forum is full of them anymore, and I'm flat out sick of these kinds of threads constantly being made. Constantly making the Raimi bashing thread with a thousand faces adds NOTHING to this forum at all.

What I feel is extremely stupid is how when people love TDK so much, some people come here to bash Raimi instead of talking about Batman in the Batman forum. It's so stupid and annoying. Big deal, TDK topped Spidey at the box office, who cares? The Spidey films are still my favorite a film grossing more won't change that.

I also feel as though people should stop thinking TDk is the only comic book film around. It's not, and tbh, I'm more excited for S-M4 & 5, Captain America film, Avengers film, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk 2, etc, than I am Batman 3. Don't get me wrong, I excited for Batman 3, but I don't think it'll top TDK.
