Indy 5

The Bermuda Triangle would be awesome and something fresh for Indiana to be involved in, I'd love to see that, personally.

Jones just needs to go after the Garden of Eden so we can watch some Soviets get cut in half with some flaming swords.

I'd love to see Indy inside a pyramid though. That could be something cool.

Are there any Asian artifacts? I'd love to see Indy go in China or have some action sequence in Hong Kong.

Even better, a snow sequence. Like trying to escape an avalanche Indy style or something.

Now that would be something cool to see.

It happened in one of the Indy novels where he went on a quest for Noah's Ark, at the end of the book. It wasn't much like a Bond escape; more like Indy in the Ark riding the avalanche out hoping not to die. It was kind of hokey though; the Spirit of Noah showed up and stuff. I dunno.

I'd just love to see Indy getting caught bare in an avalanche and trying to get out of it. Not riding anything.

I'd also love to see them cross an ice bridge with some sort of crevace underneath.

Also a fight on a pirate ship in the jungle. And pirahnas. A cool foot chase sequence in a place like Tokyo or Hong Kong would be cool too.

I see you did the same. The Excalibur idea is good. Im just unsure about the legend surrounding it. I know what the Grail was & what it was suppose to do if you drank from it. The Ark's myth also. With Excalibur what would you gain from finding it? Other then the fortune of it...Lucas always has an artifact that has some mystical quality to it........if Excalibur has that, it may be a start.

That too. All it is a sword thought to be from legend. What does the enemy gain from obtaining it? It just can't be a heavy object. I have no clue either.

I don't know if I want to see magic like sorcery and wizardry in a Jones film. But who knows?

Zombies on the other hand. God yes. But Army of the Dead took that idea.

Excalibur and the scabbard were said to be magical. The scabbard made the user invincible and the sword could cut through anything. Any leader or champion who wields that would be able to lead their armies. Same as the plan for the Grail.

The wielder is also said to be the true King of England. Maybe it's the Ruskies and someone who wants to be the King. A Beloch or that American from Crusade. Maybe a Scot or an Indian. So many countries to choose from that hate England.

Anywho. Plenty of material to work with with Excalibur.

This post makes me sad. Sad that we'll never have enough time to make enough Indy movies to do things like this and that Spielberg and Lucas probably won't do anything like this either.

Just take Indy in the direction it should. Cast a new Indiana Jones.

It's tough to cast another. Nobody thought Bond would survive after Connery. But the franchise did.

Indy needs to live!!

No. Harrison Ford is Indiana Jones.

Sean Connery is known to be the best James Bond, but he isn't James Bond. He's based off of a literary character who has lived on through numerous novels and movies. The character is bigger and is suppose to be contemporary.

Jones is merely a creation from Lucas put on film first. Fate led Ford to being cast.

Hmm... the enemy could use England to take control of and branch out its power through England to rule wherever they want. The sword is an invincible threat. No one would dare question its powers. Since the sword has been built up upon legend for centuries. It can either be used for good or evil depending on who holds the sword.

Im kind of up in the air about it...Harrison will always be Indy to me. I am a purist at heart & always struggle when another actor takes the role set by someone years before him but......if we want to start from scratch with different adventures when he was younger...we may have to cast a new Indy for the future.

I will accept your research as true about the legend & powers of Excalibur & say that might be a great direction to go in for an Indy 5 then. We are all kind of writing it for George post by post, lol.

That's the great thing about Arthurian legend. There are plenty of different versions to go with. You can deviate without getting anyone's knickers in a twist.

I've always been back and forth on this. I completely agree that Ford is Indiana Jones and tend to lean towards the character not being recast ... however, I would love more adventures. I hate to see the franchise coming to an end.

An animated series would probably be the best solution, but I've never heard anything about that ever happening.

I'd rather see an animated series. I hope it happens. You would think the idea has sprung from Lucas by now.

Would have been a better idea then that vile Clone Wars cartoon [yes I hate Star Wars for many reasons]

New macguffin, what if Indy went after some sort of relic that could be used to resurrect JFK after his assassination. The Sword from the Stone or a Catholic relic could fit in well here. Or a trip to Eden too.

Excalibur could be an interesting one. Maybe the Spear of Destiny? Although that's been done and maybe too close to the 1st movie.

Ya exculibar would be neat or that spear one too. Wouldnt mind either.

The only problem with would that would be this though

Although Excalibur has never been done though it was in an early Indy 4 script called Indiana Jones and the Sword of Arthur
92-459

That was a fan script.

All of the existing drafts of Indy 4 were about aliens and gradually evolved, for the better too.

One more movie if done properly and very soon...and an animated series set in the 40s would be perfect. Make it happen Uncle George.

Unfortunately, I think the movie is less likely to happen. The 'Berg just doesn't seem to be into Indy as much now that he's grown. His plate is so full right now that he'd have to throw sometime to the side to make room for Indy.

Indiana Jones and the Adventures of the Rascal Scooter

Eden would be interesting.

Coming up with an Indy title is a *****.
