Tonight's guess is someone who plays my son and cousin
in two diffrent RPGs. Green Lantern. GL, welcome.
Thank you, thank you. Glad to be here.
Okay. Let's start things off by talking about Roy
Harper. You've been playing him for a good while. Do
you find it easy to play and write material for him?
Of course. He's one of my favorite characters of all
time. I really started liking him when he was in the
adult Titans series. He's just such a great flawed
hero. A womanizer who knocked a woman up and had to
deal with the consequences, a loner who almost screwed
up his life because he needed companionship. Just so
many angles you can approach it from. Plus, being able
to do the typical buddy movie thing with MB's
Nightwing was always fun.
You played recovering drug addict Roy Harper and
alcholic Tony Stark. Would you say you find it easy to
portray characters with substance abuse problems?
What? You calling me a drunk? I find it fun to play
flawed heroes. Ones who have problems in their lives
beyond the standard hero motivation. Anyone can lose
their parents to a mugger, not everyone can pull out
of a downward spiral like Roy and Tony have.
Okay, okay....druggie. Anyway, let's move onto a few
base questions. When did you first start in the RPGs
and what about them caught your eye?
Well... hype RPGs... I got my very brief start in
Season 1 of the DC RPG. I played Barry Allen for all
of three posts. Brought him back from the dead (since
retconned of course) but thats about all. It was at
the behest of Twy, as I knew her before SHE found the
RPGs. I guess my real start came in the "Night Club"
thread, so long ago.
What character have you enjoyed playing the most?
Tough one. But I gotta say Slieken over in Gods & Men.
All though over there I've only played him for a
handfull of posts so far, I've played the character in
various formats for several years. I've taken him from
being Legolas's long lost brother in LOTR RPGs, to a
D&D Wood Elf Ranger, to the name of characters in
Morrowind and Oblivion, the main lord in his own
little universe, and now finally a Norweigan Elf in a
real life set Fantasy RPG. I've developed him so much
over the years that I take alot of pride in the
character.
Which posters have you enjoyed working with the most?
Well Twy of course. JB makes a great adversary. You've
been an enjoyable counterpart in a couple of different
RPGs. And somehow I think I'm forgetting someone.
Though I think he likes to shave his legs. Can't place
a name though.
Let's move on before you remember his name.....
Good idea. I can't even remember why I like working
with him so much.
What arc or storyline did you enjoy partcipating in
the most?
Well, you're going to kill me for saying this... but
the Dark Alliance. Though the Unity was a lot of fun
too.
Dark Alliance?...were you involved in that? I read it
recently, I don't really remember Roy being in that
one.
Roy was involved, though as an NPC. He was murdered by
the Alliance, one of the first if I recall. However, I
played someone else.
Really? Who? I don't recall seeing you in that one.
Well some would say that I was on the side of angels.
....okay, you lost me...
Let me try again... one of your characters (maybe two,
Ollie's a dirty old man) would say that my character
WAS an angel.
You mean Bart?....wait a minute, are you saying what I
think you're saying?
Guess it's time to let the cat out of the bag. Yes,
I'm probably saying what you think I'm saying.
So....there is no Supergirl or Cori...only, GL?
Thats an accurate appraisal of the situation.
Wow...I mean wow...Holy ****, wow.
Shocker?
A bit....so, you are Supergirl....how long have you
been living this double life?
Well the double life? Since the beginning of Season
Five, when Supergirl came back. I've been playing
Supergirl since midway through Season two though.
But, you've been Supergirl and GL longer, though?
Well, there were underlying circumstances to it all,
yes. Then when I wanted to disappear for awhile I went
to the GL name.
Does anyone know about this?
A few. Close friends. Drak, Twy, MB, SF. I'd be
surprized if a few others don't know and are just
keeping it quiet.
Why did you do it? The whole double account and the
pretending to be Supergirl Just for ****s and giggles?
Well, to tell the truth... Like I said before,
underlying circumstances. At the point in my life
where I changed the account name from LanternLight to
Bishop Cori (then eventually Supergirl, each time done
by the mighty Dew) I was in a very confused place in
my life. I didn't know what I really wanted.
Since then my life has stabilized and I've repressed
those feelings to live my life right now as I'm
comfortable. It was when I became happy with my life
again that I stopped using the Supergirl account (and
dropped off the face of the Earth to my SHH friends)
and then eventually came back with the Green Lantern
account.
Why did you pick the account back up again? Was it
just to play another character in the DC RPG? Seeing
as how the 2nd character wasn't allowed until this
season.
Well, I didn't start playing Kara again until it was
legal for everyone to play two, and thats why I've
never picked up a second with either account. Mainly
it was because I wanted to play her again. Kara has
always been one of my favorite characters, and it
seemed that my interpretation of the character was
well received. Rather than be 'the guy that stepped
into the shoes of a legend' I just decided to pick her
back up with the account that left her.
Alright. I think we've touched on her enough, but one
more time. Holy ****...okay. What's the one character
you would like to play the most. No holds barred.
Well, I'm blessed. I've played two of them. But one
that I haven't played? Hmm. I'd have to go with
Nightwing, though I don't want to even try to fill
MB's boots with the character.
Yes, nobody can. His boots are too small for men feet.
Well they are pixie boots.
Indeed. With the RPG approval forum, what's one RPG
you would like to see made and survive.
I actually just want the Gods & Men RPG to keep
rolling. I'm more of a fantasy geek than a comic geek,
as hard as that is to imagine, and I really enjoy that
one.
Okay. What lies ahead for you, GL? Will you continue
as Supergirl and the Supergirl account, or will you go
ahead and discontinue "Cori"?
I think I'll probably keep using the Supergirl
account. It has a history with the character. It'd
just seem wrong to see a Supergirl post credited to
"Green Lantern". And I believe I have plans at least
into next season with both of my characters.
You better keep Kara!!! We have plans, remember?
I just said that! We also have plans, albeit a lot
less structured, with Roy and Ollie. I can't drop
either of them, even IF I'd want too.
Yes. Roy is gonna be Secretary of Drugs in the Queen
White House.
I thought it was going to be Red Arrow joins the JLA.
Kidding Twy... don't kill me. Arsenal joins the JLA.

anything to say to our readers before we end our
interview?
Yes. I know this is going to be huge. I just felt it
was time. To anyone whom I may have hurt, offended, or
disgusted. I apologise. Anyone who may have taken to
Cori in the wrong way, I'm sorry. And please, any
backlash, direct it at me. Not at Twy. Not at SF, MB
or byrd. And ABSOLUTELY not in the RPGs. We're all in
these things to have fun, lets keep it that way. Again
I'm sorry to anyone who is upset by this revelation,
and hope we can all still be friends.
