International release dates!!

Yeah, and I was worried I'd be working and not able to go to the midnight showing.....I'm lucky....
 
They don't have midnight showings here. :csad: But I'll be there the 1st showing on the 15th of June. Book it. :woot: Should be 12 or 1230. $ 5.50. Never be able to figure out why they don't release movies worldwide on the same day. Why make some wait ?

I saw F4 2005 with about 500 people at midnight....it was crazy.....I wasn't the happiest of campers after the showing....but it was fun to see so many others that did enjoy it alot....so that was cool....Stan Lee got a huge applause when he came on screen, so apparently I was in with alot of comic fans.....the people I was with had no clue who the guy was...lol...they asked why everyone got so excited...lol

anyway....I'll be at the midnight showing this time as well....

In this case it looks like the Fox Co. is distributing as in Fox, Netherlands etc....so I'm not sure why they don't all open on the same day....but sometimes they don't distribute and its simply up to the distributing company to choose when they want to open it.....

According to a story in the San Jose Mercury News, Google is teaming with its neighbor in the Silicon Valley, Audible Magic, to include a filter on its video services, which would compare the audio fingerprint of uploaded video to a database of copyrighted content, identifying pirated versions.

Audible Magic produces the patented CopySense technology, which tracks specific audio fingerprints from such sources as TV and radio analog broadcasts, Internet and satellite streams, stored digital files and network transfers. The company claims to have the largest database of audio fingerprints of its kind, exceeding 5 million works of copyrighted material.

Both the Motion Picture Association of America and the Recording Industry Association of America are Audible Magic boosters. The company was cited as an effective filtering technology in the landmark Grokster case two years ago.

Reports of the Google partnership comes shortly after pure play content company Viacom Inc., hammered Google and its user-generated video site Youtube for the scads of videos from MTV Networks and Paramount Pictures programming that was available for free viewing on the site[/FONT]

I'm glad they decided to change our release date, just a week shy from the earlier dates. I don't think I could resist coming on here then and spoil myself silly. Major suckage for those who have to wait two months, though. That's harsh as hell...

They moved the Italian release date from June 15th to August 17th to have it closer to the others European dates, so they can market it for all the countries together.
That's unfair.
 
Damn, Fox really has it in for European based fans. 2 freaking months?!:down
 
I live in England but I just happen to be going to Florida with my girlfriend for my holiday this year - flying out June 12th as it happens.

So I think I might just stroll into a cinema at some point.

I wonder if anything good comes out around then?

Actually the site now says June 15 and July 15. Very strange.
 
July 15 is a Sunday, and according to my information it's June 15!

Hey June 15th would be great for you UK guys......and yeah July 15 is a Sunday, Harry Potter comes out on July 13th......I just don't see them being dumb enough to put it up against probably the #3 movie of year.....

And it would be stupid for their own movies! July 6 is the release of Die Hard 4.0 in the UK and July 27 is the release of Simpsons. Now imagine FF2 would come out on July 15 ...

Brazil is June 29, 2007!
