So, now that we have some idea of who the characters will be, who do you think will be cast with a big name like Marvel's been getting for these series?

Daredevil had D'Onofrio, Jessica Jones had David Tennant and Carrie-Anne Moss, Luke Cage has Alfre Woodard, all playing villains. So, what do we think, same thing for Iron Fist? Ward and Harold Meachum seem like good roles for a veteran actor. Or maybe a name actress for Joy, who I'm thinking might be the head villain along with Steel Serpent, with Ward and Harold with parts comparable to Owlsley from Daredevil.

I really hope Colleen Wing shows up. Shang-Chi seems less likely, since I don't know how they'd incorporate him seeing that while his powers are similar, his backstory really isn't.

And I totally called the focus on the Meachum storyline awhile ago. There was no way they were going to come out and start with the Immortal Weapons.

I thought about that, but I'm not so sure. Hogarth in the comics was (I think) in-house council for Rand-Meachum. In the MCU she has her own firm. So unless she gets ousted or Danny needs to hire a lawyer (on the off-chance Rand-Meachum doesn't have it's own legal team already) I'm not sure how she'd fit in. She very well might be in there, though.

Well, there was the nasty business about her ex's murder towards the end of the season. It's possible that repercussions of that could lead Hogarth to seek employment at Rand Corporation.

Her partner's were trying to force her out at the end of JJ. It remains to be seen if they succeeded. But it's possible! It'd be nice to have her, I liked her as a character.

I mean we can assume that Jeryn Hogarth still has some legal power considering where we last saw her. So maybe she was somehow able to turn her lemon into lemonade.

When it comes to Marvel movies and TV I don't even sweat it anymore. At this point after so many great movies, TV, casting, and so forth that they deserve the benefit of the doubt about getting the material right . Daredevil, Jessica Jones have both existed in a dark corner of the Marvel U so far. I'm assuming that Luke Cage will as well. What I hope they pull off with Iron Fist is something a little lighter . I know Danny exist in the same dark corner but I wanna see Danny keep his playful attitude . Be somewhat more upbeat and humorous . I want this to blend 70s Kung fu movies, the Immortal Iron fist , The Living Weapon, and even some of the new Powerman and Iron fist series . That may be asking a lot but I have faith

I don't think that's asking a lot at all. But, the MCU has been pretty good about translating it's characters, even beyond it's main heroes.

Oh no doubt . The only iffy things I've ever seen really was Agents of Shield ( which has gotten better) and Iron Man 3 wasn't that great in my opinion . I just really want them to absolutely nail Danny Rand and his supporting cast. Guess even with them earning the benefit of the doubt , you still get a little nervous

I've never seen Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it's existence kind of repulses me to be honest.

In regards to Iron Man 3...I'm going to use an excuse I hate and say that it was a special circumstance. You can't really put a comic accurate Mandarin on screen and come out unscathed. But Marvel's gotten an overwhelming amount right for the volume of content it grinds out.

ya that is what i enjoy about the mcu stuff marvel gets and under stands the characters and the world/worlds they want to bring to screen. Now yes things change be it for things that wouldnt fully work from comics these days. Or to put a new spin on things. It has overall worked out well.

Opening a new can of worms, but after seeing pre release of BVS (free, or I would not have gone), I agree. Marvel gets more right than they get wrong, to me. Not a fan at all of the current DC stuff, which is a pity. I am almost ashame of my DC collection anymore.

Totally that my problem dc great with cartoons, there animated movies and some of there live tv shows. But the direction and outcome of what they want to do with there new film verse I feel isn't the right way. Like what Snyder said why grant Gustin wasn't cast for movie flash and stuff like that. DC doesn't have someone like feige to keep writers and directors in check. And it seems wb let's directors do what ever and hope it turns out good.
