They showed the whole fight scene at Comic-Con. They wear the masks. Fight for a bit. Lose them, and then they fight for quite longer.

I am hoping that in the present time Danny and or Davos will make a mask, inspired by the traditional/ceremonial one we see in the flash-backs. But then with the cloth tension of the DD black mask. So it looks more aerodynamic and sleek.
One of the reasons some say the scarf of Jessica looks good as a mask for DD, was because of the cloth tension, which those yellow ceremonal/traditional masks lack, looks like you could take them off as hats.

And I was looking at this mask again, and another thing got my attention; It appears there is some hardened shape under the cloth, over the nose, they should definitely lose this if a mask is being made by one of the characters in the present time. It is something that makes the shape feel unnatural.

Small change of subject, but shouldn't we have a full length official trailer by this point? Or are the marketing team too tied up with Daredevil season 3's marketing campaign to begin after September 10th?

I only saw season 1 once so I’m rewatching it now - can someone explain what was with that homeless guy in the very first episode...? Why did Danny make some rude remark to him when they first met? Were they trying to make Rand unlikable? Also why did the homeless guy have a tattoo of a bird? I don’t recall there being any significance there but I might be forgetting something.

The bird was also present when Danny left K'un-Lun, he saw that as a sign to leave and when he entered New York City, it is seen flying past buildings in aerial camera shots and later when he settles, you see the bird flying in NYC again.
I guess the homeless guy was there as a means to ground Danny to New York City and tell him he is in the right place to continue his path. Once the homeless guy has done his purpose, he is no longer needed and passes. He was linked to the bird which probably is faith guiding Danny..

I’ll be shocked if we don’t get an actual trailer this week. This is cutting it really close to the release date with no real footage other than some brief clips.

This or beginning next week should be the last moment for it to have any commercial advertising effect. Otherwise casual viewers might not pick it up right away.
I can't wait for season 2 to come on Netflix, on my birthday!

Same here, season 1 was the first Marvel Netflix show I ever watched. Finn Jones actually studying martial arts should help him look more authentic in his fight scenes and going by his guest spot in Luke Cage he seems to have a better understanding of Danny Rand. I have a gut feeling season 2 will surpass it's preceding season by a mile.

It seems that a few Dutch sites report that it will premiere on September the 2nd here, but Netflix's official site reports 7th of September, so fake news or people who cannot differentiate a 2 from a 7 lolz

One thing concerns me in the trailer. Is Davos stealing the Iron Fist? I hope not. I don't want a 2nd season Danny effectively cannot use the Iron Fist. I hope he finds other means to get his power.

One thing concerns me in the trailer. Is Davos stealing the Iron Fist? I hope not. I don't want a 2nd season Danny effectively cannot use the Iron Fist. I hope he finds other means to get his power.

Maybe Season 2 will be about Danny becoming the Iron Fist we all know. By the last 15 minutes of episode 13 he'll get his powers back. The rest of the season will be about him learning to be a hero without it and relying on his own wits and martial arts skill (or lack thereof).

So forget the costume for season 2. It's all about him getting the fist back, not the mask!

And not a single boardroom scene to be seen. This is already better than the first season. Looks like they've amped up the fight choreography and storytelling for the better.

So maybe now the show can go from just straight up mediocre to maybe pretty decent.

The mask also looks different from the ones he and Davos wear in the K'un-Lun flashback. Also the clothing of the skeleton looks dark, maybe the official wear of a full Iron Fist (and thus the mask is the real deal lolz )


Ah man, I am now going to watch this in slow mo the whole evening, to figure stuff out :P

I think that’s Davos power in the comics. To take away the Iron Fist or at least that’s what I read on Wikipedia lol.

I have read comics with Iron Fist in them a plenty. Not so much his own book, so I didn't know that was his power until you referred me to wikipedia, LOL! Now I am okay with it.

For some reason in Suits it's more interesting than in Iron Fist.

Marvel should put out a Disney-Fox takeover movie. It can be full of boardroom meetings and reviewing contracts.
