Is it just me or is the tide of opinion turning on this movie?

As many know I been on the fence since the beginning, I think I'm more negative now than positive, but I find it interesting that despite Fox's best efforts not to promote this film, it starting to gain a lot of positive momentum, and people seems not to be hating as much.

Now I already know that some people have just gotten stubborn about it and I already know the 5 negative posters who'll come in here saying the same thing and the 5 positive posters saying the same exact thing, so again realize I'm not talking about you, but normal people.

I on the otherhand take Fox's silence as nothing but a bad sign

Not true, go out and talk to people, I've heard people bring it up and say they want to see it. I'm not saying its massive like TF or something, but the tide is changing. Not only on these boards but all over the place. Like I said, if you been negative from the start that's all you can see, but looking around, I can see the opinion changing.

People flip flop with this movie... A lot. I still have no hope for this movie to be anything more than an unsuccessful attempt with a popular property by a less than stellar studio. I expect crap, so I wont be dissapointed when I see it.

i see this film in a similar viewpoint as the dead or alive film with a lack of attractive women to keep my eyes entertained.

I find it funny that fans can't separate there own viewpoint from actuality, its funny that no one read my posts, but I didn't expect you guys to. There is a shift, whether its cosmic or if it matters was not the question at all, nor did I even comment on the actual quality of the film.

fans who already like what they've been seeing are feeling more optimistic because they're seeing that the film is trying to stick to the manga and because the script portrays the high school scenes in a way that doesn't emphasize the drama of a teen.

fans who have been on the fence are starting to become optimistic because they're just glad they're not totally screwing it up (ala Catwoman, Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li).

fans who have been disappointed haven't seen anything lately to make them change their minds.

non-fans still don't know about or care for this flick.




so yes, opinions about this film are shifting around, but it's limited to the fan base.
