I agreeI love the script and I'm happy to see that they did some rewrites and clean it up a just little bit.Letting us know,that they are trying to make a good Punisher film

Which script the one written by lexi alexander back in june last year or the one written by the iron man guys which according to Kurt Sutter was good and will please true punisher fans.

Actually I think Sutter said one more person took a pass at the script after the Iron Man guys. And I do remember him saying the dialouge was pretty bad too.

He did say the dialog was simple but other then that he did say it was a good script and that true punisher will enjoy it.I don't know anything about the iron man guys punisher script but alexanders script did have simple dialouge.No one else had has wrote the script afterwards but Nick Santora had been the first writer before kurt.

Simple, obvious and less than organic dialouge is what he said. To me that is bad, but most people seem to only care about the movie being violent as hell, and if that's all you want out of a Punisher movie you will like it.

Perheps theres more story then the trailers had let on I mean action and gore will intrested more people (mainly the casual audience)going to see the movie then just showing frank and other people talking and being develop.

From what I heard from someone in YouTube, its a lot of action in the first part of the movie, and almost all action in the third part of the movie. The middle part is all story. Frank also keep having flashbacks.

That sounds decent. I'd like them to at least make a decent attempt to tell a story amid the violence. I'm not a huge fan of flashbacks in general, especially if they're overused, but I think we can all agree the graveyard scene in the trailer is awesome.

They rewrite something and added lines or situation near at comic-book like "Sometimes i'd like to get my hands on God...".

It's a good script!

That line I didn't understand Frank is a devote Catholic,,,I didn't understand that line at all.

According to Sutter, someone else rewrote them uncredited, and he said the dialouge was bad. If you don't care about dialouge being good in a film, God help ya.

Didn't Sutter write the original one that everyone had problems with? Of course he'll say the dialogue was bad, sounds like they took his work and changed everything. He's probably just angry.

good point. i don't watch the shield, not a big fan of cop shows, but when did ****in kurt sutter become the be-all-end-all of screenwriters or even a good judge/critic of film? what else has he done? whole lotta nothing. who cares what he thinks...

Well, I read Lexi Alexander's draft and that had bad dialouge. So I'm kinda inclined to take his word on it.

Maybe the dialouge will be bad maybe it won't.Lexi has said that the script was completely rewritten so maybe the bad dialouge has been taken care of but even if the dialouge is not great this a action movie not a Stanley Kubrick flick peple won't be looking for great dialouge they will be looking for great action scenes and again it seems like kurt got pass the supposly bad dialouge and still liked the script.

Sorry I don't trust a guy,who got pissed off and took his off the film.A course he is going to talk **** about the film and I love good dialouge in movies and shows.That is why I was happy that Lexi script(which wasn't bad script) got clean up a little bit.PS. I saw only three episodes of the Shield,thought it was pretty good.But nothing special and I don't know why Sutter thinks he's god's gift to scripts.Because at the end of the day,I rather watch 24,The Wire,The Sopranos,Rome etc instead of the shield.And wasn't it Sutter that said this film is going to be a Punisher fan dream.I guess he flip/flop more then payless shoes

I agree that the punisher should still have a story with all the action but you can't expect oscar worthy lines from a action movie and what if sutter is wrong about the dialouge he did came off as slightly bitter about the movie and I saw iron man and that did not have simple/cheesy dialouge.

You are very wrong.The hardcore Punisher fans do what a good story,a solid plot,good dailouge and great action.And I as a Punisher fan,want those things.But if notice I never said great story or great dialogue,let mt put it like this.After I saw all the Bourne movies and Casino Royale(and brought them on DVD).I said to myself those are some great, smart,intelligent movies and after I saw the red bend trailer for Rambo 4(Shoot em' up,Death Sentence,Grindhouse etc). I knew I miss action like that and I also knew that it wasn't going to be smart or intelligent like Bourne or Bond.But I was just so happy to sit back and enjoy a good eye candy action film.So long story short,I sat through The Dark Knight, a great, smart,intelligent film( love every bit of it).And now I'm read to enjoy a good eye candy flickPS Grundy I respect your opinon and I'm shooting you down in noway

Kurt Sutter did do the script, and apparently it sucked the big one. So it got re-written completely, except for one part, and then the rewrite got some changes and tweaks done by Marvel's Iron Man writers.

meh. those clips don't impress me much. looks more like a dirty cop than a vigilante to me. i know, i know he's just doing what he thinks is needed to get the job done, and that's kinda similar to frank, but seriously... **** the police!
