I agree, this I think is the first time USMC and I agreed on something.
BTW, USMC, were you in the Marine Corps, and if so PI or SD?
San Diego.

I was at PI in 2001, best time of my life.San Diego.

I was joking about Best Times, but it was fun.Boot Camp was the best time of your life? How long were you in the Marines?
I couldn't serve in the Marines because the social conservative wing of this government believes that homosexuals are incapable of conducting themselves in the same respectable manner as heterosexual soldiers.

What's worse oppressing someone because of what you believe in or being too much of a coward to stand up for the right thing you believe in?
well it's a good thing clinton cleared that up once and for all then. What's worse oppressing someone because of what you believe in or being too much of a coward to stand up for the right thing you believe in?
I suspect Obama and Biden do support gay marriage, but just don't want to say so in public. I thought the same of Kerry.
Technically nowhere, and I agree....
But the thing is, the more government interferes, to more it gets screwed up.
That is a fundamental axiom we have learned in hundreds of years.
It's no secret what the Religious Right would seek to do to this country Backdrifter. I will never apologize for believing in tolerance. If you believe that promoting tolerance in our country is a bad thing, I'm afraid that we have nothing further to discuss.
Except for Jmanspice.
His faith in government far outweighs my faith in the literal resurrection.
If people want to call me "intolerant" simply for disagreeing with how they live their lives, then they'll just have to do that. But, what they're really wanting is for me to accept those actions/choices/beliefs, and I'm not going to do that. Tolerance, but not acceptance.
Equality for some, but not for all... don't forget that one.![]()

You make it so easy.![]()

Yeah. Because tolerance sucks.
Sure.
When you have religion you believe that you and you're fellow Whatevers are right. The other people are wrong. Everyone who doesn't agree with your particular beliefs are just "children" who need to be shown the way.
Evangelicals are the worst.
