Poor Krypton, all that Science! and they never discovered how to make spandex. Wonder what all their fat people wear to Wal-Mart?
Genius. Sheer genius.
I don't mind alien but something still puts me off about the strips. I think I would have even preferred that rib thing from the Wizard Magazine Ultimate Superman design.
I look at this comparison, scratch my head and asked, why not classic Superman!
Hahaha I love it! A way to please everyone!

So does anyone think the suit has to augment his powers in some way? Seems a little awkward if he were to just put it on for the sake of curiosity after finding it in the Fortress of Solitude.
How would you guys have felt if they went with how the "trunks" were handled on the left?

if any trunks would do on this specific design, that design would work. i tried it myself, they just dont work well with that specific mid-riff

I assume that along with honoring his Kryptonian family heritage, he would also wear it for a more practical reason. That is, no clothing of Earthly origin is durable enough for when he goes into action to do "Superman stuff." I think they'll play on that in the movie, since we see how during the oil rig rescue his clothing is burned off and ripped to shreds. So does anyone think the suit has to augment his powers in some way? I'd like it ifthe scout/explorer ship / fortress that is guessed at, was piloted by an 'El' ancestor (which would tie into Jor El knowing what would happen to Clark coming to Earth and that he has a system he could use with the S-key to transmit information to Kal El with... The fact that it is a suit worn by 'the house of El' should then be enough for someone like Kal El to decide to honour his blood family by wearing it when Supermanning
Re: the ship, it's not a guess. They confirmed on EW that it's a ship left behind by earlier Kryptonian 'pioneers'.
