Thank you. I wanted to a while (I got the game two days after release) to play through it and get a good handle on the game, I'm glad I was disappointed with it. There were times when I was worried (see: Wherefore art thou Kalos Pokémon?) but I got over it and the game is fantastic.

All these people on the GTS thing make me want to catch the legendaries in this game instead of going my usual "Legend Killer" route.

Yeah, I got really worried and annoyed by that too, especially since my policy is to only use dual-type Pokemon from the new region and I had a hard time getting some good ones.

How so? The legendaries can be rather challenging to beat and I don't have much use for them otherwise.

Never did. Always seemed like a waste of time, especially since you can't do it all within one game. I much prefer the new "See'em all" approach to the Pokedex.

Hey, i would like to make a question, my games of Leaf Green and Emerald were bought in the USA, However my game of Heart Gold was bought in Europe, both games are in english, so i would like if they are compatible, in the sence that i can put my pokemon from Leaf Green and Emerald into my Heart Gold game

I Googled it. Seems likely that it will work since both are in English. It doesn't work with transferring between versions in Japanese and English.

Anyways, I caught the Y Legendary because it seemed to be relevant to the storyline, named it "Skippy" and will probably ransom it off on the GTS for something I want at a later date.

True, I guess. You don't need to own both, but your friend needs the other copy. You could wait for the inevitable third version, though, that usually has them all. I assume they still do that.

Given that the Kalos region is modeled after France (Europe), is there a particular country/place in today’s world that you would like to see translated into a future region for the Pokemon Games? Also, do you guys prefer regions to be mainly land based like Sinnoh was, or be more tropical with large accesses to water like Hoenn?
