The Amazing Spider-Man J Jonah Jameson in the Reboot

Why are people wasting their time contemplating Simmons' return? It AINT gonna happen.

What about Ted Levine? I wanted him for Dum Dum Dugan but Neal McDonough got the part.

Man if Gene Hackman were a little younger I think he would have been a perfect JJJ! :)

And I know he's already played a Marvel villain but Jeff Bridges would make an amazing JJJ too!

How about Harvey Keitel?

Hmm, a little shorter than I've imagined JJJ, but he could work.

I'll be really suprised if he isn't.

Me too, JJJ's a staple in Spidey. He is the one supporting character/villain/anybody who has appeared in the most Spidey shows besides Spidey himself.

^^ Pretty much sums up my feelings as well. JJJ must be in this film. I can't imagine it without him.

I can't believe we haven't heard any casting news for this role yet, I mean JJJ HAS to be in it!!!

Yeah, it's not Spider-Man without JJ.

Now I'm thinking Harry's not even in this film.

How would you guys feel if there were no Jameson (or Bugle)? I wonder if he's even going to be in the movie. If he is, I really think Ted Levine is a perfect choice.

I have a feeling that...he's not in. Or maybe Peter might mention getting a job at one point, but the Bugle will only be mentioned in passing.

I think he'd be a perfect Jameson. In fact, I would think to myself "this guy would make a great Jameson" when watching him in Monk.

I know it'll never happen but I would love to see R Lee Ermy in the role. A short story by Peter David had a line that always sticks with me when I think of Jonah. He just got done chewing out Peter and Robbie "and then he did something that sent chills down Peter's spine. He smiled." (Something to that effect.) If I got chewed by Ermy and then he smiled at me, I'd instantly die of a heart attack.

He has to be in it, how big a part he plays is up for debate but without Jameson you lose quite a bit of Parker aswell, the whole taking photos of Spider-Man to be used agains't him is a pretty big deal, Peter is essentially selling himself out. It's something unique and important to spider-man.

The cating though will come so far out of left field(like everything else) we just won't see it coming :shock

it looks like JJ wont be in this movie. why wouldnt they tell us who was cast?

Maybe they don't want to tell us yet, or maybe they haven't cast the role yet. They could be filming any scenes that JJ is not a part of and as soon as they cast him, they'll film the scenes with him. Although Mark Strong had already been cast as Sinestro, he didn't start working on the film until close to the end of Green Lantern's filming.

maybe, it's some secret celebrity cameo...(like [BLACKOUT]Bill Murray [/BLACKOUT]in Zombieland) that they want to keep under wraps... LOL

But surely you cast a character BEFORE you start filming? I see no reason why not. So ergo:

A) Like said before it is being kept secret for some obscure reason but this seems unlikley
or
B) He's not in the film. Which would suck.

Or for some reason they havnt even begun to prepare his scenes yet so they havent cast.
