They actually manage to make Lea Seydoux smoking in the new trailer. Kinda glad, since she wasn't what I imagined as a Bond girl coming off of Blue is the Warmest Color. Amazing what growing your hair out and a bit of makeup can do.

It wasn't so much turning it on its head, more of an embrace of that old-school spy adventure that's been replaced by the dour directive of recent films.

That's why I'm split on him coming for this iteration in particular. At best it's been slowly creeping back to the classical tone without losing its sense of real stake. But that's still a far cry from Matthew's sensibilities and interest as a director.

Next series though, I'd be all for it.

He seems like he's been gunning for the chance since Layer Cake. Then paying homage in "X-men First class".

He finally got his chance with "Kingsman" which was a balls to the wall outlandish spin on the genre.

EoN would never have James bond tear up a church or all the villains heads explode

Don't add me to that list, breh. I knew her before Bond. The thang is that this Bond flick has tailor made her clothes and they fit better than ever. Her look in Blue is The Hottest Color didn't do it for me.

Yep she's been in American films since at least 2009 when she played one of the French diary farmer's daughters in the opening scene of the film. She had a bigger role in Ridley Scott's Robin Hood and that's probably the first film a lot of people remember her from. Then she really got attention after MI:GP.

Keep in mind that EON commission a handful of artists to do a theme then pick one of them. QOS had at least 5 different themes recorded before they settled on Another Way to Die. Skyfall had at least two themes (Muse and Adele did one each) before they settled on Adele's Skyfall. CR had 2 themes that are known of and possibly a 3rd.

Point is that Radiohead was probably one of the ones given the opportubity to write a theme for SPECTRE. Along with Ellie. They probably wont pick one until closer to the release.
