Well, looks like GotG3 is delayed, and Bautista is still on twitter acting like a moron.

I have a feeling they're going to cancel the movie.

While I like Bautista, I'm not sure what he thinks he can accomplish with his series of tweets. I guess if his goal was to force Disney to cancel the movie so he won't have to honor his contract, then he probably succeed. But Disney can also hire a director and proceed with Vol. 3, and Bautista will either have to return as Drax or risk being sued by Disney for breach of contract.

I've heard much darker jokes than Gunn's. I even thought some of them were funny. There's a difference between a joke's content and its target, which is always easily lost on people on the internet. People can be offended, sure. I'm not too keen on the idea of losing your job over a joke, especially made outside of work, and from before you were even hired.



It's fun watching Bautista jab at Disney. It sucks though. Nobody wins in this situation, except those who thrive on clickbait and drama.

Joss Whedon isn't an Avenger, but James Gunn certainly IS a Guardian. I wouldn't say either of the two Avengers films Joss Whedon directed felt like his authorship in the same way that both Guardians of the Galaxy films feel like they are specific to James Gunn's cinematic style and flair.

If you take away James Gunn, the format changes drastically. The song choices will be noticeably different for a start, and James Gunn's trademark humour seen in other films such as the Scooby-Doo movies he directed will no longer be there. It will be 'Of The Galaxy', rather than 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.

I wont apologize for anything negative I say regarding professional garbage human Mike Cernovich, eye roll or not. And I question the morality of anyone who who would suggest that Gunn has done "much worse" than a Pizza Gater/Gamer Gater/White Supremacist.

The decision was "MeToo" theater - it solves no problems, protects nobody and emboldens literal human garbage. Everyone at Disney involved in this decision should be ashamed of themselves.

Gunn wrote some things that some people considered objectionable.

The company he worked for fired him because of that.

You may not think that what he said was objectionable or fireable. That's fine. But you were not his employer. They thought it was.

You say others have done worse. So? This is not between them and his employer....it is between him and his employer.

You say many people like what he got fired for. Good. That means he will get future employment somewhere else. He will not live under a bridge begging for handouts.
