How hard can it be to stick to Goku's source material? He's a happy-go-lucky tough guy with a sense of humor and temperance. That's about it.

He hasn't had a interview since december and all he said that he wanted to do good....he in no way has expr4essed the same feelings and dedication as marsters... he hasn't talkd about it all like james, Emma,joon and ericko have...

I didn't say it.

All I did was clarify what "sticking to the source material for Goku" might mean.

Or unless chatwin lives in a bubble, he's probably caught the show way back when it was more popular. He already expressed how he knows goku's an iconic character.

As for joon Park, he literally is Yamcha. No worries there.

I just wanted to kno if chatwin in fact has came out and said this that's all... I really think that the cast is gonna do a good job... and james influence on the film has been more than beneficial to us fans..... In Marsters We Trust

no offense to the Kid, but he's been extremely optimistic about this movie. i think he was exaggerating when he said that Chatwin is an ardent fan. the only thing we've seen Chatwin give any kind of interview was when they were doing the launch party in Mexico when he was surrounded by a bunch of people with recording devices in his face. he mentioned how (almost verbatim) Goku is an important character to get right because he's in a cartoon that a lot of kids watch.

the movie is still a year away, so i wouldn't expect any of the actors or actresses to start promoting or talking about it...but James Marsters is the only one that makes appearances that make it into the net. he's the only one doing interviews that gets the fans pumped up. i'm not saying that the rest of the crew aren't fans and i'm sure if you'd ask them, they'd say they were.......but actions speak louder than words and Marsters is the only one, so far, proving to us that he is indeed a fan of Dragon Ball.

I like this thread because its more based on Marsters and not just Piccolo. Personally, I have alot of favor towards Marsters and not just because of his obvious passion for his role, but instead for his rule breaking, his appearance, his effort to get the character right, and his history with the series.

And above all, his understanding that the series needs to change to stay alive - and Dragonball is making that change. Its going to break box office and he knows it.
