Jason Bourne

Ive only really enjoyed 2 films so far this summer and maybe 4-5 films overall this year overall. Everything else has just been okay, fine or disappointing

Hope it picks up for me

Green Room

Don't panic, guys. The critics aren't saying its a bad movie, it just apparently doesn't rise above Ultimatum. I can't imagine this still won't be a damn good time with Damon and Greengrass at the helm, John Powell scoring, and apparently an absolutely bananas finale set piece.

Thanks for letting us know that. It being Better than Ultimatum or not really doesn't matter. I just want to have a good movie. Plus I think most critics when it came out said Supremacy wasn't as good as Identity, and I've always liked Supremacy more than the first one.

Yeah I can only say there's probably about 4-5 movies I've liked this year, I haven't been too satisfied with what I've seen so far. Hopefully Bourne is alright.

Reviews are super disappointing so far. Still holding out for this, but shame nonetheless it couldn't distinguish itself from the trilogy and other 2016 releases.

Taking the wife to see the movie this weekend. She is looking forward to it. Hope it is as entertaining as the others.

Lol yeah I saw that one earlier and thought: "That's like the meanest thing you can say about a spy movie"

Yeah. It made me think of when Mr. Cranky reviewed Rollerball and said:

"It's hard for me to write the following sentence, but I'm just going to steel myself and type it: Chris Klein is like Keanu Reeves without any talent. There. I've said it. Frankly, I have a hard time even comprehending that sentence and its terrible implications. I look at it and I start to feel the fifth dimension caving in on me. I don't think it's a sentence that was ever meant to be written. It somehow defies the bounds of reality. Yet, it's true."

Jason Bourne was an unnecessary sequel. That being said, still contains a lot of stuff that makes the series great (excluding Legacy lol). Ultimatum set the bar too high, I'd say it's probably equal to Identity. Only negatives are that
the character called Heather (one of the main ones) can't hold an accent. First she sounds American, then Irish, then British, then back to American lol. They killed Nicky :-( Was obvious that she'd meet her maker from the beginning, but I liked her in the series. "The Asset" is a main role, I prefer it when they're limited to like 15 minutes and very little dialogue.
7/10

I like Supremacy better than Ultimatum so if people are saying this one isn't better than the latter, it's all good.

But if this is ultimately a disappointing film, then summer 2016 may go down as one of the most disappointing film seasons ever.

Read some spoilers:

Can't believe they retreaded that. Out of all the things to do again, that?

Did anyone not see that coming?

With that and the reviews, this movie can just go **** itself now.

Star Trek Beyond remains the 2016 Summer highlight then.

Oh for goodness sake I cannot believe that they did that. And made it so dang blatant that they were going to even before the movie came out. Ugh.

I think the problem with this one is that there was no script. Litterally no script. At least the original three had something.

Mark this down for yet another disappointing and stupidly unnecessary sequel.

Despite the horror of what the real world has been lately, we always had the movies to cling to as hope. But they couldn't even do that. 2016 might go down as the worst year of the decade. And we still have the election.

I'd like to think that there's a movie out there that's going to break through and change so much but from what I can see going into the future... it doesn't look much better. Movie are making me more and more depressed.

The problem with Bourne is that, the plot is a cat and mouse game, and you can only do that for so long.

Or at least the same kind of cat and mouse game.
