He's had shorter hair and different styles across his history too like any character.

I actually hope if there is a sequel that he dons a style like that. Good for merch. New figures etc. Keep the beard though. Not enough super heroes rocking the facial hair like Tony Stark or Ollie Queen.


Plus it reminds me of this version by Jim Lee.

I bet we will see a different kind of hairstyle on Aquaman just like Thor. Mainly because Jason Momoa will get other roles that prevent him from having the long hair and long beard. Also it seems the Atlantean culture seems to be predominantly sporting short hair and clean shaven. Example: Orm, Vulko.

I think if he goes more short, there should be more blond highlights on the roots.

Yea I think that's the idea, especially with all atlanteans looking clean shaven whereas Arthur looks clearly like an outsider with his bohemian gypsy look. So in the sequel he probably will look more "Atlantean" in terms of grooming. That's what I am assuming.

The more I look at the trailer and other stuff, the more I see that Jason is just playing himself while everything and everyone around him feels more true to the comics.

Anyone else feel this way?

I have yet to see anything that makes me feel like Momoa is a great actor. I know he's got a great physique and he can bring a lot of energy, but a great actor? I haven't seen it, and I'm a Game of Thrones fan.

It certainly wasn't there in Justice League. You're right...his performance didn't feel like an actual developed character... it felt like Momoa playing himself naturally.

I think Momoa is great if utilized properly. Hopefully Wan was to able to connect to Momoa's energy and funnel it into the right direction.
