Jason Statham to take on Meg

I think this will go the way of Snakes on a Plane or Piranha 3d. A lot of hype over how cheesy and fun it looks but won’t translate into actual box office.

I'm not seeing half as much internet hype for this as I did for Snakes on a Plane, and that was back in 2006.

It’s going to take a lot for me to barrack for Jason statham at this point because I really want the meg to win lol.

Honestly, I'd rather see them cross over with Jurassic World and have the megalodon fight the giant mosasaur that's now roaming loose.

(Also, the sense of scale in that artwork is completely misleading. That baleen whale is only about 20 feet long, not blue whale-sized.)

So the meg is about the size of a basking shark? Maybe that’s how they defeat it. They get the nice sharks (whale, basking and maybe chuck in a sperm whale for ethnic representation) to team up avengers style to take it on.

Be honest, a team of earth’s mightiest sharks would be awesome. Happy shark week everyone
