Tom and Jerry returning to the big screen....... IN LIVE ACTION/CGI movie!

That actually looks terrible. It's one thing to bring cartoon into live action, but they've apparently missed that transition and gone with 2d animation into live action.

They should've gone the route of the smurfs or something, full live action with proper 3d animation, not whatever they've tried to do here. Just doesn't work in my opinion.

The 2021 film is marginally better than the 1993 one, simply by virtue of not giving the two characters voices. Other than that (and the marvelous animation integrated with live action), it's a dud. It's a human-focused story with T&J running amok... very misleading.

Some of the voice choices for other characters like Butch Cat are questionable. And I'm not a fan of the needle drops Tim Story used here (and it was a problem in his 2005 F4 film too)... trying too hard to be hip. Why use an R&B song to highlight a cartoon chase through the city? What makes things worse is that Story and composer Christopher Lennertz don't even quote the famous Tom & Jerry cartoon theme in the film.

The best I can say is it's inoffensive. And Chloe Grace Moretz doesn't embarrass herself the way Colin Jost and Michael Pena do.

I would have given it higher marks if they had just went the Cats and Dogs route and made them photorealistic. Yeah some of the slapstick may not have gone over as well but whatever.

Is Chloe Grace Moretz committing career suicide, or does she just have the worst agent in Hollywood?

Well her last movie was that thing she did with louie ck.

I have to say enjoyed it, the animation was pretty good so props to the animators.

I don’t think she’s slumming. The movie made $12.5M this weekend. Not too shabby these days.

Kids might enjoy it more and that's cool, but I honestly thought this was hot garbage. I liked the animation and some of Tom and Jerry's antics managed to get a few chuckles out of me from time to time, but there was way too much focus on the human characters IMO which were easily the worst parts of this movie.

I like Chloe Grace Moretz and Michael Pena, but I didn't like or care for their characters at all and poor Michael Pena is just the butt of alot of cringe inducing jokes. Also, I don't watch SNL anymore, but the Colin Jost dude was just awful all around and probably the character I couldn't stand the most.

This honestly felt like something from the early 2000's and not 2021.

looks like itchy and scratchy then movie....

Chloe G M looks so young, I initially thought this was an older version..

Hang on, she's 24...... 12 in KA I never realised she was that young...

Say what you want this movie took me back to my childhood in the 90s watching these two go at for no apparent reason. LOL...it’s definitely nostalgic for those of us who grew up watching them. The animation is great!!! After 2020 i definitely need some 90s nostalgia, feel good movie.
