Was that the part where she needed help? Not to create a black hole (what is that anyway?) but to do something after that?SMroxs said:If I remember right at the end of the Grey's End story Rachel said something to the effect of "I'm not Phoenix... but by the time I'm done with them the Shi'ar are going to wish I was." Meaning she doesn't intend on going all Phoenix-y, she's going to go after them using only her own [vast] powers. I mean within the last year of Uncanny we've seen her create a black hole to get rid of The Fury and restructure her entire genome just using her own powers. But then again she still manifests the Phoenix raptor "eye patch" when she uses her power so maybe on some level she's always going to be connected to the force and drawing power from it.

But when did Marvel ever "punk out" Jean to Victor after that? Surely not in the one-shot where she and the other originals pursued him through NYC. This was following his escape from the mansion and damn near fatal attack on Psylocke. I think it might've been called Bloodlines and KNOW it featured the beautiful artwork of Mr. Gary Frank. Anyway, Phoenix was the one who took Sabretooth down in the end... BRUTALLY so! He even told her that she was the ONLY other X-Man who was capable of taking him out... PERMANENTLY! Wolverine, of course, was the other and Creed went on to say Jean was more like the two of them than the rest of the X-Men. That's my girl!
