Comics Jean and the Phoenix Force

so it's safe to bet Jean will be the one who does it.

You can't be sure about that. It could be any avatar of the Phoenix Force who end the 616 universe.

Who knows, it could be Jubilee.:)

All of humanity was seeded with the possibility, but Jean's whole "omega potential" was that she was the ultimate mutation and the only one who reached the final level of mutation. It's been stated a couple times that phoenix is the creation/resurrection force and "the spark that ignites creation and the final fire that consumes all to begin anew" so it's safe to bet Jean will be the one who does it.

Correct and her job is to burn off what doesn't work. She has removed certain versions of mutants from the timeline because they didn't work.

LT only comes after TOAA, and Multi-Death. Phoenix is only a universal power. She has destroyed a universe or I think a timeline. She has also repaired or recreated a universe telekinetically.

Here is a very good thread about the Phoenix and where she lies in the Marvel Megaverse w/comic frames.- http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=410642&perpage=20&highlight=&pagenumber=1

threads like this and that one posted hurt my head lol, there to deep.

The Living Tribunal does destroy universes. If he deems that a universe has been too "damaged" -- whatever that means -- or is in too much danger from malevolent forces to ever be saved, then he'll destroy that universe himself rather than let it slowly die away.

In fact, you might say that the Phoenix is amongst those guardians of reality -- others including Adam Warlock with the Infinity Watch and Dr. Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme -- who is charged with the duty of preventing just that from happening. The Infinity Watch guards the Infinity Gems and the Power Cosmic, Dr. Strange guards this reality from otherworldly invaders, and the Phoenix coexists with the M'Kraan Crystal to burn away obsolesences within this reality that aren't working. If any of those duties don't get fulfilled, the Living Tribunal might get trigger-happy.

Then why do people always say "Yeah..but Jean can destroy the Universe"? I always thought she could since she was gonna do it before.

I don't think it has ever been shown for her to destroy a universe or create a universe from scratch. She has recreated an existing universe and created a big bang to jump start it.

So are you telling me that if she were alive...she could not destroy the universe? Because I have seen some "Phoenix VS. Storm" threads and people bring that up all the time. I have also heard that she needed the X-men's lifeforce to save the Universe.

Didn't she change the past in Hear comes Tomorror , she like re-created the furture so Scott would not have a sad life and thats when you see him and Emma kissing, so she can change the furture or past as it was the past she changed really.

Damn that was confusing, lol. Is that one of Phoenixs' power? To change reality and stuff?

Well i guess so, at the time she was wearing the White outfit the White Phoenix Crown as its called.

Sigh...she is too complicated. Whats with the red outfit, the yellow, the white and all of that? I thought she was just Phoenix...isn't the White crown thingy is like her being te avatar t the Phoenix Force or something?

White is when she is one i think like one with Phoenix, Red is Dark Phoenix and Green and Yellow i never really know what to say, i say its Jean and Phoenix but there not one as sometimes its Jean talking othertimes its Phoenix.

Yeah I know...thats why her character went WAYYY down for me when they said they were gonna say that her mutation is the Phoenix.

It's not that confusing. You just have to pay attention.

White is the true form of the Phoenix, when Jean and the Phoenix Force are in total harmony. It's her most powerful form, and she once held the entire universe in her hands when she was the White Phoenix.

Red is when the Phoenix Force has taken control over Jean's personality. It's the second most powerful form.

Green is when Jean's personality is dominant. It's the least powerful.

There. That's basically all there is to the Phoenix color schemes. We've gone over it three or four times already in this very thread.

Like I said..it's confusing. And I was not here IN THIS VERY thread all of the time....her entire mutation is a bit confusing to me. Well at least the Phoenix part...

See i like that idea, and in some ways i think it is.

It's a bit stupid to me...I'm trying not to offend any Phoenix fans, lol. But the power she uses is Phoenixs'. And what is the point of her being a mutant if she's just a creature that exisited since the earth was created?

Well really, Phoenix is like a code name as well, just like Storm or Cyclops. But it was what she called herself when she became Phoenix. Shes not a creature as you said there, its more like either Phoenix found the right time to chose a host or it was Jeans time for her final part of mutation.
