The Dark Knight Jett finally gives us something to talk about! (ie Harvey Dent)

Okay, some scuttlebutt to talk about...

Bailey - He fits the profile, looks the part, can´t comment on his acting skills.

Norton - He´s been rumored and liked by some fans for the role for God knows how long. Nothing new here.

Foxx - You think the guy can´t act, see him in Collateral and Ray - he totally becomes the young Ray Charles, it´s almost scary. I think it´d be a nice tribute to Billy Dee Williams, who played the only serious Harvey Dent on film yet, and also to TAS - Dent looks to have some "chocolat" in his genes there...

Norton would be excellent.

Bailey aslo would look great as both Dent and 2Face, so I hope he will get the role (if Nolan doesn't find another perfect actor).

Foxx? I like some of his movies and he's a good actor, but he's also a bit overrated. Besides, I want to see white Dent from comics, not black Dent from Burton's films.

that statement makes no sense.

Actually my he is my #2 choice behind Guy Pearce (which will never happen)
but of the choices listed I would go with Bailey.

I love Norton as an actor but think he is all wrong for this role.

As far as Jamie Foxx. Anyone who says he cannot act are complete morons and wouldn't know a good actor if they saw one. I wouldn't be disappointed if he was chosen but I can think of two other African-American actors that would get me way more excited: Denzel and Don Cheadle.
Im right there with ya on that Ray.

I think everything would be ok with any of these as Harvey Dent / Two-Face.

JEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZ...

I go away for a little while and some real news-non-news hits....

Hmmmmmmm....

Bailey looks the part but Nolan only casts "names" in his films and Bailey, name wise is really out of his league......but if he is cast, no complaints from me...

Nortan is tall for an actor(legitamate 6 feet) and can actually act but has a very timid voice. And frankly doesn't have the looks for dent IMHO....

Foxx.....Hmmmm....He can act but he is very much a "celebrity" now. Some one who's personal life overshadows their acting(i.e tom cruise). He would also probably do a song for the soundtrack right LOL!!!He is also a shorter man and wouldn't look good standig next to Bale. However Oldman is short too so maybe it wouldn't matter too much( if Sly can wear lifts, foxx can too)

Like people have said already, an announcement is coming soon thus why Jett wrote these names. My money is still on owen (who is coming off the brilliant Children of Men) or Law...

Another Ledger Fiasco.

Out of all of them I would pick Jamie Foxx. Norton nor Bailey would draw crowds. Jamie has so much charisma and charm to him, he fits harvey dent.

and also to TAS - Dent looks to have some "chocolat" in his genes there...

lol.

I think norton would probably overshadow the whole movie, and for him to take it guess the script would have to be infinatley better than what we got in Batman Begins. Eoin Bailey i cannot comment on as i've never seen his work, but his look is too bland for Dent.

Foxx was great in Ray, and if cast you just got to forget about his terrible music. I cannot see it, but he is a good actor.

The only time i would want Jaimie Fox in a batman movie would be if they wanted to do some sort of flashback with Thomas Wayne and Lucius Fox. Jamie could play the young Morgan Freeman.

Now that i think about it, that would be pretty cool.

Bailey is 30, Norton is 37, Foxx is 39 ... how does that affect things?

And Clive is 42.

Eion Bailey?

Waitaminnit........was he the space monkey dude (Ricky) who Tyler Durden slapped across the head in Fight Club?! Can't see him as Dent.

Foxx Neither.

Norton, on the other hand, would be interesting. Having him share screen time with Bale would be awesome.

Shame that Nortons' so serious about 'his craft' that he probably would'nt even go near a comicbook movie, even one with a cast and crew as illustrious as this.

Don't know about these choices - Bailey is an unknown, and I know they were shooting high with this - Norton or Foxx make the most sense to me.

Bailey already has a shoe-in with Nolan having tested for Bruce Wayne/Batman more than 3 years ago.
Anyone who has doubts should really watch Collateral. That scene where he had to pretend to be Vincent IMO proved that he is fully capable of portraying vastly different personas. That snap from mild-mannered guy to cold, all-business killer was superb acting and I've no doubt he would make a fine Dent.
I remember that scene. Good on you for bringing it up.

If they were to go for a black actor then i think most would support Denzel i think. He's proven he can play a villain.Cheadle great actor but i don't see Dent in him.

I'm kind of surprised Nolan hasn't approached Guy Pearce. He'd perfect IMO.

Yeah I know Retro. We all know he's not a big fan of comic-book movies, but it would be fantastic to say the least if Nolan could talk him round.

I just can't picture him as playing a lawyer. I'm sure he could pull it off but I just don't see it.

I can actually see Foxx as Dent. Though I prefer Bailey, I wouldn't mind one bit if Foxx got it.

A lot of people i know hate Jamie Foxx as an actor, ive never understood why. He was damn good in Ray (in a middlebrow oscary way) but fantastic in Collateral. Granted Stealth was bloody awful, but he definately has acting acbility. He's got the build "starry-ness" and arrogance for dent, and i'd like to see him, Clive Owen or (no 1 choice) Pheonix in the role.

Edward norton's a good actor but too slight (physically) and cerebral fordent.

IMO, it's more to do with Foxx's percieved offscreen persona than his acting - because there's really nothing wrong with his acting.

However, I think going with an unknown might be smarter. Plus, the constant emphasis on it being a big name feels like a deliberate misdirection.

please no to Foxx, I've never been a fan of his

Mmm, isn't Foxx supposed to be on tour this year?

Out of these three - I'm gonna pick Bailey as a final answer.
