Even though I see multiple examples of interracial dating being an hour away from NYC, seeing a black woman with say a white man or even a asian man is like seeing a unicorn in the suburbs. Asian men dating outside is more common. One of my best friends lives in Virginia and all his Asian friends are with white women.

That's actually more the norm than the exception, in my experience in the gay community. I don't remember the last time I saw two Asian guys or two black guys as a couple. With the exception of two white guys, gay couples are generally interracial.

My coworker at my first job was an Asian guy and dated a black woman. She helped him get into medical school, but they broke up and now he's married to a white woman.

I never though about that, but it seems true. I know one gay married couple, and they are a black guy and a white guy. I also had two other gay black friends from college (who unfortunately I haven't seen in years since they both moved away after school) who seemed to primarily date/hook up with white guys.

Edit to add: not sure if this "counts," but even my cousin (white woman) has seemingly switched teams in her 30s and has gone from dating primarily black men to being in a relationship with a black woman.

I find it funny how no one ever addresses other forms of racism that aren't aimed at Blacks but aimed at other races in general, especially racism against whites.

There's no such thing as racism against white people. Racism is an entire structure that was created by white people to elevate themselves and push minorities down on a consistent basis. Racism is a majority group consistently putting down and keeping down minorities. Minorities can't be racists because we don't have the power to implement such a structural system.

Now can minorities be discriminatory and prejudice? Absolutely.

Saying "there's no such thing as racism against white people" is a blatant misunderstanding of the definition of racism. Your description of racism is not racism, but an ontologically biased interpretation of it.

I guess when I was living in Seoul and an old Korean guy threw a soju bottle at my head because I was with my Korean girlfriend and then started screaming at me to go back to the USA, wasn't being "racist"... merely prejudiced.

I'm white, but black people did have it tougher in Korea. Still I knew a black guy who had a Korean wife. And while there was racism directed at blacks and whites both, I'd say that was nothing compared to how some felt about the Japanese.

Haha, I actually have that special. So black women are more selective when it comes to interracial dating, while we black men will take anything.

Well, the Germans who would have had the most problems with it were busy with ... legal matters ... at the time.
