Joe Quesada will be on the Colbert Report July 27th

No, it didn't.:( I'll google it up after I make dinner. A simple yes or no to my my query about his attitudes would be most helpful, though.;):D

Edit: Thanks Elijya, but even though it costs me "you sux00rz" comments down the line; I don't watch the Daily Show either. I've only seen bits and pieces and some news are really stupid things, while others are important stuff that get replied to with hard hitting sarcasm laced with truth.

The host, Stephen Colbert, plays a character that's sort of a parody of conservative talk show hosts like Bill O'Rielly. So he'll report on real news then usually give a slapstick or exaggerated conservative reaction to the news. That's on the newsgiving segments of the show, but he's usually more serious with guests

here're some clips

(interview with congressman Lynn Westmoreland, this is just embarrassing)

OMG! That last one WAS painful!!!! "There's no better place for the 10 commandments than a judicial building." They should add another commandment: "Thou shalt not do drugs before an interview.":D

I hope Quesadilla gets pwned like this. I really do!

That's better!!! If none of you vets had posted it I would have felt bad. Thanks for all the info, guys (and Eli for the links).

Colbert's great. I don't even know what to expect from this interview, but I have no doubt it'll be hilarious. :)

Colbert will rip into him for all the anti-Bush/government allegories and call him fat.

This should definitely be interesting, and a VERY good thing for the comic book industry. They said they're going to be talking about Civil War, so I think people may be sort of blowing it out of proportion. Unless Colbert is a comic book fan himself and wants to talk comics, which would be even more interesting.

Though I'm sure every Quesada hater will be sitting in front of the television with their hand lotion awaiting the moment they all want to see. :p

"It's come to my attention that there's a new made up word making the rounds on the 'net, Joe. 'Xorneto'...what is that?"'

I could definitely see that. He'd probably mention Ultimates and pretty much anything Ennis has ever written, then: "So tell me, Joe--if that is your real name--how long has Marvel been a hotbed for anti-American propaganda?" :)

LOL!

"Just how long has your company been financed by Jack Abramoff?"

COlbert is a huge geek chances are he still buys comics.
He is a Dungeons and Dragons Geek (and LOTR), not a comic geek necessarily. And he grew up on James Island in Charleston, SC. They did not have a comic store when he lived there so it is doubtful he read any.

Are you a scholar of all things James Island-related or something?

LOL! Im sorry but if youre a geek youre a geek. And I know hes read omics at leats once in his life considering hes mentioned them before on his show.

When was that? I haven't been watching The Daily Show or The Colbert Report lately.

I dont remember he did a segment of The Word and he was mentioning comics or something. Probably that they were evil or something.

Heh, sweet. Damn it, I gotta start watching again. I miss The Word.

Oh, ok. I thought you just had some strange fascination with the history of comic shops there.

he also put comics as references when he used to do "This Week in God" for the Daily Show - he would push a button and it would cycle through a bunch of images of different religions next to him, eventually slowing down until it got to the one he was to talk about. But when it would slow down you would see some other weird images of religions, which on one occassion showed a picture of Thor, and another a picture of Hellboy

I live off the same road Colbert grew up on supposedly.

Is there a big sign that says "Colbert grew up here"? It could up tourism in the area if there isn't, your town should think about it.
