Age of Ultron Josh Brolin Is Thanos, The Mad Titan

speaking of that, when did Darcy win Thanos?? I have seen Thor 2 but it was so bleh that I hardly remember the details. anyway, could you refresh my memory? :oldrazz:

I was joking when I said that :funny:

Although in a roundabout way, Malekith not keeping the Aether, and it going to parts unknown to Thanos is effectively a defeat

I don't think you can say he wasn't intimidating when he was in one scene, unless you were expecting him to just blow up a planet in his scene just to show he is a badass.

I don't think he had to do anything necessarily...I think it was in the presentation. If Ronan is more afraid of him, or if they don't fully reveal Thanos entirely, who said they had to? (IMO they wanted to because the audience wanted it). They could have easily shown glimpses of him, much like in Avengers, or him sitting in the shadows from his throne (with only his eyes glowing, would be cool IMO)

oh yeah thanks :D

I gotta admit, out of all the Marvel comics, the least educated I'm about Thanos. I know that he doesn't have the infinity stones yet, but still, they reference him as the most powerful being in the universe, what is he capable of without the stones exactly? yeah he destroyed planet but that can be done by ordering a fleet or something, I mean Thanos by himself

I'd like to think that Guardians 2 and Avengers 3 will see Thanos seriously taking it upon himself to seize the stones.

Guardians 2 will likely see him hunting down Gamora and/or Nebula, as well as seizing the stone that the Novas are currently in posession of (power?), as well as The Aether, which The Collector still had when Ronan attacked, and could now be anywhere if not with Tevan. It could also see him utilizing Skrull and/or Kree armies on his fight, now that the Other and his Chitauri have proved ineffective.

And in A3 (or possibly as early as Thor 3), we could see Loki bargaining the Tesseract AND Infinity Gauntlet for his life, only to incur Thanos's wrath on him and Asgard anyways. And then, of course, see him head for Earth to "challenge" The Avengers.

I think it's almost certain that the Tesseract and/or the Gauntlet itself will become Loki's bargaining chip with Thanos, only to realise what he's done too late. It'll be the ultimate defeat of that character too, and a chance at fighting back, which the GA will love

Stark verbally sparring with Thanos would be the climax of the MCU. That, or Spidey showing up in TA3.

The climax of the MCU will i imagine be some terrible terrible film that is the last nail in the coffin.

I liked his cameo in Guardians of The Galaxy, Can't wait to see him in full action and dominance .

Or Kevin Feige having an argument with Brolin behind the scenes.

I think Loki (posing as Odin) intends to use Asgard and go to war with Thanos.

"I've told you Josh, you can't keep the Infinity Gauntlet prop!"

For anyone here that has watched Spike Lee's Oldboy remake, this is both hilarious and unintentionally creepy. :funny:

Josh Brolin making a fist next to Elizabeth Olsen? All legit to me, broheim.

Anyway:

Tesseract
H
Aether
N
Orb
S(ceptre?)

WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?!

God, I hope Loki's Sceptre doesn't turn out to be the Mind Stone.

....So it'll probably turn out to be the Mind Stone. :argh:

Which would mean that not only can Thanos not secure an Infinity Stone from any of these yahoos on these myriad worlds, but the only Stone he did have ---- he gave away. To the least trustworthy person in the universe.:doh::doh:

Marvel might be making Thanos seem incompetent, but I'm sure they aren't going to make him seem like an idiot. The staff can't be a stone

Equally, The Other activated the staff from afar, and I doubt the mind stone can be activated somewhere randomly

That photo! I knew Chris Hemsworth was a big lad but sheesh he's a freaking tank!

I consider any stone that makes its presence known, ie used, secured and i figure Thanos does as well. Once they're all outed it's done and he finally puts his plan into effect.

It's probably revealed that he has spies on Xandar, Asgard, Knowhere... everywhere.

Well to be fair:

-The tesseract is in the same room as the Infiniti Gauntlet, and Loki, the man who owes him severely, is "King"
-Thanos wasn't involved in any way in TDW, yet the Aether was dug up from it's hiding spot and is now with the Collector, who may or may not be working with Thanos in the MCU, or at the very least, he's seemingly easy to locate.
-The orb, which Thanos had no plan of letting Ronan use, was removed from the hammer and put in a vault on Xandar, a planet he can supposedly easily destroy, so how tough could it be for him to steal something from it?
-The Sceptre (if it is the mind gem) is now on earth, Thanos's last stop on his genocide-train

It's certainly not a prefect plan, and one that would rely on a lot of luck, but it's kinda working out for him. Call on your debt to Loki and you've got one and the gauntlet, have the Collector bring you the next while you're on Xandar blowing it up and taking the orb. 2 more yet to come, then last stop, come to earth and get the Sceptre, completing the Gauntlet.

IDK, could work

I think when the time comes and everything is ready he'll just go get them himself, leaving death and destruction in its wake.

I'm still standing by the Scepter not being an infinity stone
