I'm just glad it's the only area Honest Trailers could nitpick.

Though I'm sure they'd find something I hadn't thought of. Even if it doesn't make sense.

Why exactly does "the raid" get brought up in the Dredd thread? Im sorry but "The Raid" was pure hollywood type overkill action. It lost me as well, started out okay. "the raid" kinda made an attempt to be grounded in a reality type setting... after I watched the one cop beat up 6 or 7 guys at once I lost interest. the raid was overkill in more ways then one + I just did not buy the mini me villan that fought everybody for 2 hours. Just my opinion

Last,, what does the raid have to do with Dredd?

yeah i see where your going with that,,, but you can really do that with anything. Die hard, under siege, night of the living dead,.oh and forrest gump, babe pig in the city. All these have one thing in common, they are all films.

But Dredd was a different beast then "the raid"

Under Siege is Die Hard on an Aircraft Carrier which is why they are compared, lots of action movies copied Die Hard's concept and simply relocated it. Dredd and The Raid are the same concept with the exact same structure in a near identical setting. From what Solidus said it's now common knowledge that the makers of The Raid read the leaked script from Dredd and based their movie off it.

And they all basically stole it from Donkey Kong.

Im still sticking to my forrest gump and babe comparison. They both had the same IQ, but two different movies entirely.

Lol Terry.. Donkey Kong, I was hoping somebody would notice my off the wall comment.

Well or what its worth I never thought of the raid when watching Dredd.

Look,, its obvious it came from the Aliens that 1st occupied Earth. Its the aliens man,,the aliens I tell to you.

Hunter, I really dont think that is gonna hold up. See Die Hard took place in a building. Under Siege takes place on an Aircraft Carrier,, thats a major difference not to mention Under Siege introduced us with a new concept. The playboy bunny that wakes up to no idea of whats going on. Die Hard never even thought of something like that which totally changes the game.

good point! Just a loley cook.. But he made some hamburger helper out of those guys trying to take over that ship,, followed that with a nice warm glass of shut the hell up to wash it down.

That's got me thinking - if you can make a fist with your toes and you hit someone, is it still a kick or does it qualify as a punch? (just to be sure, I don't really expect a serious answer here; I'd actually be quite worried if a serious answer was given)..........

Well if you can punch someone with your feet then you should be able to kick someone with your hand.

That's called oral sex.
