No, it doesnt make alot of sense. Because, in the trailer you can see Cyke and Jean making out WITHOUT his glasses. That doesnt go with what Wolvi said, he said the wave knocked him out or some BS.

It looks like, the wave comes, pushes him then she arises, and they have their moment where she takes off his glasses and they kiss.

Now, it COULD be that magneto and crew capture cyclops in the midst of their coma, so that they can use him as leverage if jean decides otherwise. Maybe that works?

Rewatching X1, I dont think Cyclops was really shortchanged. I think they did a good job of balancing out time for everyone considering theres so many characters to be introduced in one film. Simply, it should have been a longer movie. If anyone was shortchanged in the first film, it was Storm.
