Liked her well enough, she played into the usual annoying teen trope but not to point of me hating her.
Eh doesn't matter. She was bland when delivering her lines and showing emotions. How can she be bland when they didn't really write anything for her? She and Hope were bearly in the movie.
That was a really good scene.Newton and Rudd had zero chemistry together. I felt more in Fuhrmann's 2 minute scene in Endgame with Rudd than I did with Newton in an entire film here.
The obvious is probably recognition. Part of the demographic they want to hit probably know her more than previous actress.I haven't seen the movie yet but what exactly did Kathryn Newton bring to the role that the actress from Endgame couldn't have brought? I am still baffled as to why they bothered to recast.
Is she quite well known? I’m pretty clueless on up and comers. The obvious is probably recognition. Part of the demographic they want to hit probably know her more than previous actress.

Because the few scenes she’s in are so cringe that I’m glad they didn’t give her more screen time.
One scene that was good and memorable.
I mean this is a franchise, and I would eXpect consistency that they aren't suddenly recasting characters left and right.
