The Dark Knight Rises Killer Croc

Mr. Freeze
There is a believable way to do Mr. Freeze. It'd be a bit of a departure, but then again almost all of Nolan's villains are pretty big departures from the comics. In the comics, Ra's al Ghul is hundreds of years old, Jonathan Crane is not the head of Arkham Asylum, the Joker fell in a vat of acid that bleached his skin, and Harvey Dent had a family. Make the freeze-suit a set of battle armor (a la Iron Man) and the freeze ray just a new weapon that he was developing as a new non-lethal weapon (like a taser or mace but with cold instead of electricity or pepper spray). Not saying I would adapt Mr. Freeze, but it definitely is possible.

Killer Croc, however, is too unbelievable, along with Clayface (the modern interpretations of Clayface, anyway) and Man-Bat.

Killer croc is just as believable as mr.freeze..
just a mass murderer who sharpened his teeth, murders and feeds his people to crocodiles at his crocodile farm..
or make him someone with a skin disease, and that he has a tattoo of a croc, and thats why ppl call him killer croc.

or make him dress up like a crocodile and kill people.

Way you put it, it could work. Might require some suspension of disbelief, but I guess it could work. Maybe only as a minor, cameo villain. Like Zsasz in Batman Begins.

Nolan will not use Killer Croc. Especially as a main villian.

I think I gave a pretty good croc adaptation in the ideas for interpretation.
I said he would be half African half native American. He has a ore existing skin condition which makes his skin dry and peel(my friend had this, if he did not use lotion all the time), this is worsened by the fact that he is always out in the sun(making his skin rough and hard, a trait witnessed in farmers and outdoorsmen). His molars are all silver caps and his front teeth are sharpened. He does practice canabalism(he eats brains and heart for stenght and courage), he practices them because his ancient ancestors believed in these ways.

Okay idea but someone's gonna see that as racist and get pissed

It's not racist.
Sry I typed that last part from my phone.

It's not racist, some native american tribes used to practice cannibalism, there are facts of that. If you miss interpreted my bad.

It could be great to see him with a hate for society. Possibly make a fake tribe which openly practiced cannibalism and was wiped out(native american genocide). He is the last descendant of the tribe. He practices cannibalism on his enemies only.

I would love to see him with a large machete, wearing a ripped wife beater, ripped blue jeans, and an overcoat.

Physical burn scars could add to the crocodile look.

He could be the guy that owned the butcher shop in TDK(the joker filmed in it).

I didn't misinterpret. People get pissed if their people are somehow portrayed as savages. For example, some Native American group (kind of like a mini-NAACP) got pissed at Disney (DISNEY!!!!) because of the depiction of the Carib Indians in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. I know it's true, but some people don't want true. They want everything to be nice and peachy and no culture teaches supposed backwards practices.

yeah that sucks.

I guess the only way around that would him being exiled by his tribe, to show how(truly) rare cannibalism is in native america.

He would have to be portrayed as insane.
A way to get around him even having a background would, be him simply saying he does it for strength, courage, and knowledge, plus he likes it. never really giving much description of who he is, or his ancestry.

IF they ever did it, he'd have to have a skin condition and be a cannabal.

.......... :D

I love Azzarello. haha.

he could be a guy that just tattooed his whole body to look like a crocodiles scales.
its not totally unbelievable with the new degree of body modification some people are going to now a days.
just check out this guy:

a guy tattooed like a crocidile would not suprise me.

Yeah, dont get me wrong, I don't care if hes used, but there are other characters I'd like to see Nolan adapt, however, to rule anything out to me is a negative way of thinking. I think everything is possible, just gotta figure out the way to do it.

i don't think killer croc would be a good main villian... he would be better as like a cameo or something. there are a lot more villains in the batman world that would be so much more awesome to see on the big screen.

how are these?

The only way I see killer croc as a major role in Batman 3 is if he killed Alfred or someone of that importance to Bruce. He's not intelligent enough to give Batman a run for his money. He only stands to give a physical challenge which can't be enough to run an entire film. Unless we make it Hulk 3 and not Batman 3

If you're asking whether the 'Abomination' was the basis for Croc in the pic...the answer is a resounding yes. :oldrazz:

Can you guess what the basis for the Batman was?

would it be Batman?

Where'd you get Croc's face from?

Heh.

Where'd you get Croc's face from?

I forgot exactly....I did a search for all kinds of Killer Croc faces/heads, looking for one that would work with the angle of the body, and that one worked the best. More lizard-like than I would have preferred, but just went with it since I didn't want to spend too much time on the thing.
