There's way too little footage for anyone to make any of these sweeping statements at the moment. We need to see more levels and more hands on reports.

It's not a sweeping statement to say the likeliness of Killzone 2 being a good game are incredibly slim. After all, history and early looks at the game (which is already loooooooooong into development) aren't speaking well on this game's behalf.

Evaluating Killzone as a mediocre franchise after a metacritic evaluation of Killzone 1 as a 70% game, and Killzone: Liberation of 77% adding up to an average of 73.5%... placing your bets on Killzone 2 being another mediocre game in the series is actually the safest bet you can make.

Heck, even if Guerrilla is on the way straight up, you could expect a top average of only 84%.

Not horrendous, but not good either. That's basically a "little better than average" sort of game. I guess Zenien was lying about it's quality, as well. Should've known it.

73.5% is pretty damn horrendous for a Halo-killer, system seller or benchmark of FPS games on a console. It just shouldn't even be made at this point. Nobody was asking for Killzone 2 after Killzone 1.

Liberation shipped with an incomplete single player campaign and no online multiplayer component in place. Scoring 77 was impresssive given the circumstances, and the dlc was free, and actually the best part of the singleplayer game in terms of design and than the fantastic online component.
