Kneel before your Queen... Amber Heard IS Mera! - Part 1

You're likely right about that. But to be fair, though, Mera is shown underwater in the JL suit in the trailer. I can't imagine they made it too difficult for Amber to move around in underwater, even as intricate as it is.

The scene in JL isn't really under water. The water is CGI and the rest is practical effects! Snyder posted how Jason filmed those scenes so i'm assuming the same goes for Amber.

Amber can't sit down with her costume. Crew members must follow her around with a leaning wall so she can take a rest :(

How awful. It's dreadful what women have to do in Hollywood and I wish that wouldn't happen. It makes it worse because they have to deal with that and act at the same time and then they cop it more than their male costars

I didn't read the article, but I had a job where I had to stand in the same position for a 10 hr shift making ten bucks.

Oh dear.

My first "job" was volunteering for a charity where we had to put our hands into bins and sort through people's gross clothes. Often there was broken glass, condoms and occasionally syringes. And I did it for free :$

I hope to hear the "I don't bow to any king" line from Mera in this movie :D

I wonder if Mera will then be right in the thick of things as far as the action scenes go fight scene wise in Aquaman

I'm sure she will. It should be an integral part of DC's strategy going forwards to never forget or limit their women characters

She's constantly fighting alongside Aquaman in the comics so i'm sure she'll get kick ass fight scenes in the movie. It'd be a crime otherwise!

Amber Heard fully committed to her role as Mera in the upcoming Aquaman movie, spending hours in the gym to fit the part.

“She wanted to deliver for the character,” Gunnar Peterson, one of the multiple trainers Heard worked with during filming, tells PEOPLE.

Peterson trained Heard, 31, four to five times a week, “for a non-stop, no-breaks hour with me, and THEN she went to her fight training, which was rigorous!” he says.

They focused on full-body fitness, similar to what Peterson features in his videos for Now health products, for Heard to fit the sea queen role — and to fit into her costume.

“Everything was athletically based. We trained movements, not muscles,” Peterson says. “Squat presses, sled work and lots of work in a rotational plane against resistance. She is a true athlete.”

Peterson adds that their workouts were “unrelenting,” but Heard handled it with ease thanks to her dedication.

“She was so consistent,” he says. “Without her being so committed, the results would not have happened.”

And he says that Heard had the perfect attitude for getting the work done.

“She could not have been better!” Peterson says. “If I could bottle her drive and conviction I’d sell that as a pre-workout drink!”

I can see why they want her in justice league. She's so committed and people are going to love her!

Did she ever post pictures or videos of herself working out like Gal did?

I was hoping she'd talk about how she did lots of swimming training too.

That's a pretty good effort

Hopefully her M "belt buckle" will be in the DCEU as well.

Ha, I never get why comic book characters always do that. Do they forget their own name?

In case they get lost. I always assume there is "if found, call this number" written on the back of it.

Anyway, this side to side comparison emphasizes the fact that movie costume looks kinda cheap.

Ha! Mera needs to make her man wear a "if lost return to Mera" shirt so she can wear a "I am Mera" shirt.

I like the costume but I remember when people said the batsuit from batman begins looked cheap because it hadn't been released through official promotion yet
