Kong: Skull Island - Part 2

I finally saw a TV Spot for this during Agents of SHIELD last night. They're finally stepping up their game.

You already blew your load.

I'm not expecting this successful enough to get another Kong solo movie. All I am expecting is to enjoy the film. And this looks to be the kind of big monster fest that I wasn't expecting from Kong, so I am excited.

You hit the nail on the head!

how is it rationalized that these creatures always stay at monster island and don't leave?

as huge as the monsters are, it doesn't seem like migration would be a challenge.

The idea of all these giant creatures on a small island is just ridiculous, because...

It’s generally thought when resources in an environment are limited, some species decrease in size to reduce their total energy needs.
Interestingly, evolution of a smaller body size seems to happen most often in insular habitats, most notably on islands – known as “island dwarfism”.
The most famous examples of this phenomenon have occurred in large prehistoric mammals.

Then again, Hollywood has never cared much for being scientifically accurate. :)

Well in the instance of Kong, most apes aren't fond of deep water. As big as he is the sea is still significantly deep enough that it would probably deter him.

I would say that the resources are not limited.

What with underground tunnels, caves, dense forest, lakes, rain and sea and maybe some volcanos ?

Is it just me or anyone else can also see a face of another ape on the head of Kong ?

Um, I think that's just a case of pareidolia, dude.

Remember when people went nuts claiming you could see the monster in the Cloverfield poster?

Well he is not wrong. I totally see a Ape face in his hair. Might not be intentional but it is there.

I totally agree.....when I'm watching a movie about a 70 foot tall gorilla fighting an 80 foot tall cockroach....I want it to be as scientifically correct as possible.

damn i have no words right now to give a correct answer to both of your nonsense

...um, what?

He has a point. I don't go watch monster movies for scientific accuracy.

The kaiju genre isn't exactly the genre you go to for scientific accuracy.

Giant monsters in general are too large to even exist. Complaining about the scientific accuracy of a kaiju film is just silly.

Very quick clip of Kong vs a Skull crawler

Gonna be skipping on all the new promos so I can be amazed by the monster fights in the theater.

Skull Island is actually a peninsula.
