Are you asking how would they know Kong was protecting them?

Kong does not attack unless attacked first so Kong would likely leave the natives alone if they never bother him but if they see the Skull Crawlers attacking Kong / them & Kong still attacks the Skull Crawlers while not harming the natives it would be easy to understand why they would think that

Basically once Kong saw the humans attacking the skullcrawlers and also helping that buffalo he had them figured as on his side, so to speak. As opposed to before when they were bombing the place.

Not to mention the interaction Kong had with Weaver & Conrad right before confronting the soldiers. He tries to snarl and look tough but softens up a bit in their presence. The point here, as with Godzilla (and the '05 Kong for that matter) is that these are thinking creatures and not mindless monsters.

I didn't like the creature designs at all. They and the island itself felt really bland. 2005 remake did everything better.

It was mostly borrowed designs. Very lazy.

Some are so hyped for a KvsG movie that they're willing to overlook it.

I liked the Mutos better. Skull crawlers looked like some kind of a MUTO Rip off.

Uh...I don't see it. At all, but okay I guess.

The Skullcrawlers definitely aren't rip-offs of the MUTOs. The only thing they share are elongated arms, and even then their arms are still designed differently. Their bodies are drastically different (the MUTOs have multiple arms and also have legs, the Skullcrawlers have two arms and no legs) and their facial features couldn't be further apart as well. Not to mention the coloration is different, their movements, etc. They're as far apart as Tyrannosaurus Rex and Spinosaurus.

Honestly, I love both almost equally. I love the almost bird and insect-esque qualities to the MUTOs & I love the reptilian nature of the Skullcrawlers (another thing that differentiates them).

Both are dope creature designs, imo.

As a huge King Kong fan this sounds great. I will happily watch anything Kong related. I just hope that they get enough money to do good CGI.

Uh. What a...bizarre decision.

It has potential, sure, but they'd need a LOT of money to do it. If it does end up happening, I'm afraid it might go the Terra Nova route. :/

I don't understand how a female main character is a problem in this. Ann Darrow is kind of main character with Denham in the original. She is definitely in the 2005 remake. So it makes sense that Ann Darrow type of character is a woman.
