I think I would be the perfect choice to play The Joker. I'm unknown and have no acting skills. Oh and I would be cheap. Nolan....call me:up:

hey like I said before, an unknown Australlian HAS worked in the past for a comic book movie!!!!!!!!:wolverine
why not :joker: ?
Yeah it did.:wolverine:wolverine

It did work, but that doesn't mean anything, really. I mean, just because they're both Australian actors doesn't mean they're comparable in quality, or in their ability to portray entirely different characters.

Ummm am I the only one who realizes that The-Night and Dr Mid-Nite are the same person?? Haha.

Oh right, just because we're both noobs to the Hype? C'mon, I guess for you it would be like Red Is Blue. :rolleyes:

Well I'm not saying you are the same person, but I can see where someone might get that idea. Similar join date, both with "Night" in the name, and you seem to have the same opinions.

I think Dr. Mid-Nite is one of The-Night's homees that he got to join here instead of continue to suffer in the hell that is IMDb, henceforther referred to as "Imm'duh-buh."

"Imm'duh-buh"
lol

sounds like Imhotep's brother.

You got a reading comprehension problem there, Loot? I never said you were the same person.

NO, I don't have a reading comprehension, it's just that I get green when I get mad. It's not a enjoyable time!!!:down

The-Night you are starting to get on my nerves as much as Stormin...haha. Okay...let me type BIG this time because apparently even though I have said it numerous times in the past it still is not getting through to some people. WE ARE STILL IN THE SPECULATION/RUMOR STAGE. I SERIOUSLY DOUBT ANYONE IS EVEN CLOSE TO BEING SIGNED. NAMES ARE JUST BEING THROWN AROUND STILL AT THIS POINT. ANYONE HAS A CHANCE AT THIS POINT.

Hey man, I've said it before I have an open mind when it comes to The Joker, if Hulme get's the role or if Bettany get's it I know I for one will not be dissapointed why.......................
IN NOLAN I TRUST
besides what fun is it if someone does not stand up against all those Bettany or bust people??

Boy it's gonna suck when the Bat-Curse strikes again. For those of you who don't know, the Bat-Curse is what I've nick named all the even numbered Bat-movies.
89 = Great (Batman #1)
Returns (While good as a Burton flick, a horrible Batman movie) = Bad (#2)
Forever = Decent = Could have been better could have been A Lot Worse (#3)
B&R = What I ment by "A Lot Worse" as seen above (4)
Begins = Excellent. (Not the same franchise, but still in terms of a Bat-movie none-the-less). (#5)
Begins Sequal = #6

As much as we thank Nolan, the man is not God. Hell, anyone on here would have thought Burton was a Bat-God after 89. I'm not dissing Returns at all, I love Returns........as a Burton movie. As Jett on BOF said, "It's a tim burton film with Batman Characters". Still, we have too much bad luck with directors getting their feet wet with Batman and then going to town with "their vision" of batman. (See: Batman & Robin.........actually, DON'T See: Batman & Robin).
I'm not saying Nolan will definatly flop the next movie, but if there's one thing we can learn from History, it's not to put all our eggs in his basket.
And even now so, look at what's happened already? They've pretty much taken Goyer out of the equation and he's the main reason the film had such strong comic books roots. Granted we got some sucky one-liners from him too, but the majority of comic book based scenes were from him, and now he's been substituted with Nolans's brother, Lord here we go.........

oh and By the way, as far as Joker goes,

Bettany = Eccleston > Hulme

I really, really, really doubt the so called "batman curse" will happen with Nolan and Bale still on board and espically if Jonathan Nolan will be writing the screenplay. The sequel will surpass the Begins not only in $, but quite possibly in quality. I really doubt we'll have many one liners in this one!!!!
one of the very few flaws in BB! If anything the sequel will be quite possibly the greatest super hero movie of all time!! Spider-man 2 nothing!!!!!!

Maybe so, I'm still not giving Nolan all my support until I see the sequal. Blind faith never appeals to me.....not after all we've been through with Burton and Schmuckacker. (And yes I spelled that wrong on purpose)

well keep in mind that Goyer did write the treatmeant for this movie so the comic book wisdom is in tact. Nolan has all my support, he just seems like the kind of director that knows what he's doing, I think when The Prestige comes out your appeal to blind faith will change whenit comes to Nolan as a director!!

Prestige has nothing to do with Batman Films IMO, I've seen and love memento and insomnia. Great movies, he's an awsome director. But I also love Tim Burton's Big Fish and Nightmare Before Christmas. I love Schumacher's "A time to kill" and I even like Phonebooth. It shows that the guy does know how to direct some well made films. But we also have seen what they've done in Batman movies. Outside movies have no influence on what happens in the Begins sequal. I like Nolan, I really do, I just have come to the point where I can't ever fully trust a director with Batman. If Begins 2 does what we're all hoping it does, cuz I am hoping it does too, then I will have all my faith in him. But until I leave the theatre in June 2008, I'll stick with my own gut instincts.

Yeah I guess you're right, but still Nolan seems like to smart of a man to screw this up. BUt we are going to have to wait and see!!!!

Very true my man. Very true. And props to you for being able to discuss this with me like a mature adult and agree to disagree, unlike some other people on here.
