The Dark Knight Latino Review said they had the script....

Why did LR and BOF have a spat?

And when did we get this new Bat smiley :batty:?

In the next week. I'm one of the lucky people to have read the cancelled LR article. They also stated there could be announcements at the Wizard Con but then we got the press release 30 mins later, so...

Did they say it was the actual script or rather Goyer's treatment for the franchise? Heard some conflicting info on that one...

Far as I know, Goyer will write the story again, except the script will be written by the Nolan Brothers.

So, I'd expect for Goyer to write the bare bones......J. Nolan to write the fleshed out version, with dialuge and making it into a script. And then Chris Nolan will look at it, and change and move stuff around and make it the final script.

Atleast, that's the way I imagine it would go down.

Exactly, but Goyer and Nolan completed the treatment at least a year ago or when they fleshed out Begins. The framework and basic story is there, but then Jonah and Chris would flesh out the screenplay, with Jonah having the majority of the work.

From what I've heard, Goyer and Nolan gave the treatment they had to Jonathan and basically gave him the ball to run with. The script will be all Jonathan for the most part, utilizing the story found in the Goyer/Nolan treatment.

Jonathan is an extremely talented writer, so we have nothing to worry about. The Prestige will prove that I'm sure for those who are at all worried. Many don't know, but Jonathan is the man behind Memento and wrote the original short story that the film is based off of.

Yeah, that's the way it has to be. I mean, it'd be the best way to do it.

I do imagine that Chris will change some stuff as he sees fit, though. Final say. But, yeah...most of the work will have to be on his brother.

Btw, I have a brother....and I gotta say....it's ****ing cool to hear the Nolan Bros. are doing this together. I mean, in movies....Bros. do great work, don't they? The Wachowski Bros., the Rami Bros., the Mario Bros.

I made up the last one, btw. Although they do kick ass plumbing.

If you go to Latino Review, under the 'Wolf Man Script review', the guy who has the script is teasing us with the Dark Knight treatment/script.

We'll get a review soon enough....

they do. They have the treatment.

Head down to their site. Go to their 'Wolf Man' script review. They addressed the Dark Knight script. They felt that if they reviewed it now, it would be too soon after the Heath Ledger news. So they said to be patient because the review is coming. It's a c*ck tease.

Damn, thx for the Info:up:

Nice, just read the bit over at LR. Sounds like another week at least......

Can't wait to see how it is and what characters are involved.........

I wouldn´t mind reading a stroy treatment without dialogue, etc. But I wouldn´t want them to leak a full draft like Begins - which I would end up not resisting to read anyway...

haha they're just trying to prevent chaos in the forums. sweet of them, but really... don't they know it's always chaos in the forums... news or no?

would hope for the review until next week...

Try in 2 - 3 months time. It makes no sense for there to be a script review just when the sequel has officially been announced / greenlighted, unless there was some serious backlash about casting (whatever your opinion about Heath Ledger, its nowhere near the controvesy of Micheal Keaton, so there's no desire of the studio to retaliate).

If we had a script review this week, there'd be a week of Batman news for a film out in 2 YEARS, then months of nothing. For the news to be built up, it has to be spread out more over time. That's why I think the LR review won't be released for a few more months (just before production begins and after some roles been cast).

I don't know. I doubt they would tell us about having the treatment now if they were planning on waiting a few months to review it. And besides, they might be trying to get a hold of a draft of the actual script in that time frame you talked about.
