Superman Returns Legendary on Board Superman Sequel

Many people hold that perspective. The franchise is off on the wrong foot, good money following bad is never a bright idea especially with a misdiagnosis of the problem (lack of action.).
Many people...but not the majority. There have been polls for this sort of thing. Even here. You see it as getting off on the wrong foot, but that's fine. I won't be saving you a seat at the sequel.

Internet polls are absurdly skewed.
Especially since a lot of posters who do those polls also have multiple screen names and so they re flawed.

That's why you hit RT, Yahoo, BOM, IGN, IMDB, MSN, etc. They are all pretty favorable to SR as a quality movie.

Give it a search and find out.

Again, people using multiple screen names. And an internet poll is hardly reliable. I wish people would stop counting them. And who cares about RT. So some critivs liked it, then later they started talking about how it was a let down.

Do you ever sleep. You defend this film in reply to every negative post. I can't figure out when you sleep.

Naw. I would rather just look at the box office and how badly it did, and the drop off's as my cue on how the film was really received by the movie watching audience. That is an actual, factual indicator, and not all this pie in the sky stuff you apologists like to quote. If I were to belive internet polling, Snakes on a Plane would have been the biggest film of the year, and not the flop it ended being a well.

You seriously have one of the worst cases of internet schitzo I've seen....I can see what side of the bed you woke up on this morning.

BTW, it take quite an imagination to 'think up' thousands of screen names for all these various sites just to spite some fanboys on SuperHeroHype!

Let's use the old noodle shall we?

ps. I don't respond to negative comments per say, I respond to people who don't seemingly use said noodle when posting the first most ridiculous thing that comes to mind.

What. Dude use your dumb ass noodle when you post. Yes, people use mutliple screen names when doing those stupid polls. the only real indicator on how a moive was recieved was it's box office. It's the internet. In fact, quite a few poeple here have been busted for using multiple screen names. And, as I recall, most of them are people who are defending the film. Go figure. Like I said, if internet polls had been correct, then Snakes on a plane and a lot of other movies would have made more money in it's first weekend of release. I don't even look at internet polls because they always end up being wrong when looking at box office. Of course people are using multiple screen names. God you are the worst apologist I have ever seen here. Start using your damn brain. The movie didn't even make it's budget back. And worse yet, it didn't even cover it's advertising budget. That is fact. It is a disapointment and in interviews with the studio people have said so. It wasn't a full out bomb, but it was a dud.

And I am a scitzo because I am stating that it is pretty common for people on the internet to use multiple screen names on those polls. You know, you better think about what you call people. I know the internet gives you a sense of courageousness as you can be anonymous. But point check, you went too far stupid ass. You better check yourself son.

You aren't even worth the effort.....not that it would be much of one anyway. Go back to sounding like a very loud ambulance about the suit.

God you suck. That was the best you could come up with. You apologists crack me up. Bad box office. Media calling the film a disapointment to a flop, and it pretty much has been accepted that it is. Even in the article Legendary says bad box office on one film, and here you are defending it foolishly when this stuff is already in articles.

Anyone else find that term "apologist" just silly? The term suggests we're apologizing for a film, which would essentially mean that we didn't care for the film and are apologizing to other Superman fans.

Anyways, box office doesn't determine quality. End story.

You're cracking me up.

It's not hard.....notice his argument started with absolutely ZERO about the box office...he was talking about people who make up names and vote on sites like SHH to skew results.

I give him some examples, and a link....and

:yellow:

What he really wanted to say just sorta came out. It's not that hard. It's a very surface lievel kind of anger he's got going on. Doesn't take much to Hulk it out of him. :o

He's all over the place now. One of the reasons I never joined the suit arguments, I don't particularly care one way or another, but they just dribble on and on, page after page, hour after hour.

Notice its the same people who have complained from the first day the pic came out 2 years ago. It went something like this..

Suit
Routh
Routh's Body
Storyline
Kid
Colors on Suit
Supes Speedos
The magic Digital reduction in that area
Movie length
Singer has nothing on Jesus
Not enough action
Box Office
Get Singer Out
Wrath of Khan for SR sequel my ass
etc etc.

That about cover it?

Agree 110 %
If it did that would make Titanic the greatest movie ever made...and IMO it is not.

box office determines popularity. Bake that one for a while, har har.

There will be no sequel to this movie. EVER. No studio is going to waste more money on someone that is a proven loser with a franchise. This is not the Xmen and the way this ****er was received by the public a sequel will undoubtedly do much worse. Singer is gone after the DVD is released. What else are these people gonna say at this point??? Admit that this POS sucks???

Dont like "apologists". Well then, I will give you guys a new label. "The Excuse Crew". You guys come up with every excuse possible why this film failed.

1. "It was a bad idea to release it on the 4th weekend" Never mind that there have been many films that made bank being released on that date and that studios argue to have their films be the ones released on that date.

2. "It has placed high on internet polls and RT." So what, there are a lot of box office flops that did well in internet polls and RT. Serenity?

3. "Chick flicks never make money." Titanic9Highest money maker of all time). Hitch. Ghost. Hell, Terminator is really a chick flick if you look at it. A guy who comes back into time to save the women he fell in love with from a photograph he was given in the future.

4. "It had bad marketing." Never mind that SR was everywhere before it's release. These same people will say that the first preview had the highest hit count on the hype, and it was mentioned on Stern. Everyone knew that SR was coming out.

5. "Box office doesn't mean anything." From the same guys that were prediciting 400 million box office domestic. It was going to beat Spiderman 2. Now that it hasn't even made it's own damn budget back, all of a sudden the box office doesn't mean anything.

You guys make excuses for a film that is not recieved well from the general Audience based on it's box office, and the fact that it does not have legs. Yet you guys fail to look at reality and constantly quote stupid internet polls because you have to have something to justify your arguements. I will take the box office, which is the true, and only, indicator of how this film is doing.

Sorry to jump in here, but you use box office takes as an indicator of quality? So by your logic, Titanic is the best movie ever, Braveheart, Blade Runner and The Thing are all poor movies, and Fantastic Four is one of the best superhero movies ever?

Sorry but thats poor logic. Also, people use multiple screen names to bash movies as well you know. AND many people on here gave SR a 1 out of 10 before it was even released, and the movie still got hundreds more positive votes on the poll.

everybody knows that SR is doing under the expectation. so? what's your point? SR is a bad movie? SR shouldn't have a sequel? or the sequel will do so so too?
