I'm surprised nobody posted this...

Godzilla Teaser Recut with Oppenheimer quote

God, I wish that proof of concept trailer was officially released. Love the official teaser though! :D

300 is a WB film, too, right??

we'll probably get a new trailer with that.

personally, I like the concept teaser trailer a bit more than the official trailer.

the Oppenheimer narration + visuals is just so haunting.

and then when the screen goes black and you hear that roar........so badass!!

In line for The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug and while I'm very excited for that movie, is it wrong that I'm even more excited to this Godzilla trailer on the big screen?

:p

I'm there too, NN. Big G's presentation in the trailers is more effective, for me, than Smaug's has been.

My midnight showing of The Hobbit didn't show any trailers. I'm proper pissed off.

Gareth Edwards did Monsters right?

It looks like he has completely exercised the camp from the franchise.

Edwards filmed Monsters in three weeks with a crew of just 7 people with digital cameras. He edited and did the special effects himself in his own bedroom.

If he can do a film like Monsters with a very tiny budget and almost not crew then Godzilla should be great with all the resources he has at his disposal.

so, my audience didn't really react to any of the trailers before DoS....not 300 2, not Interstellar, not Divergent, not Walter Mitty...but this one. this one went over like gangbusters. i have never heard a theater that excited after a trailer before. and this was a diverse crowd, we're not talking about Godzilla groupies or anything, they were just blown away. i think this movie is gonna be BIG.

Awesome to hear. :word: I'm guessing a lot of chatter after the trailer?

This is what WB really wanted to release...

They didn't play the Interstellar at my showing but, like yours, this trailer went over best with the crowd.

Our audience was similar...no comments or noises until Godzilla...then about a 1/4 of our audience cheered, clapped, and then a few "hell yeahs" were mentioned..I yelled out "The King is back baby!" LOL

My crowd was very diverse and mixed and they absolutely ate this trailer up more than The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer, Interstellar trailer, Jupiter Ascending trailer, and Edge of Tomorrow trailer. I think Legendary and WB have a real winner on their hands.

Oh you people and your hatred of camp.

If it's not taken so seriously that it becomes ridiculous people will think our giant monster movie is ridiculous and that would make us wrong for liking it in the first place.

I don't know why i keep going to these marathons….all I got was Interstellar…my friend and I were sooo pissed.

I'm seeing a lot of people disappointed that the didn't get the trailer in theaters. :( Bummer. It really is an incredible experience just watching it.

yeah, it was kind of crazy the disparity, especially when you have a trailer like the 300 sequel that just tries so hard to make people think it's awesome...and just nothing. and then this one had the whole theater buzzing in a super positive way. cheers, gasps, whoas, lots of "i need to see that" or "i need that movie now," dudes looking at each other with shocked, gleeful expressions...i mean, everyone in the theater ate that trailer up, male and female, young and old.
