Lethal Weapon Reboot Series in the Works at WBTV and FOX

This is the second time a Dude, Where's My Car co-lead has had to replace a troubled actor after they were fired from a show. :o

Sean William Scott makes a lot of sense.

Haha, he still looks like Stifler at that. I do wonder what he's been up to as he was getting a **** ton of work after American Pie 1.

My only concern here is... can Seann William Scott do anything other than his "dumb jock" act he does in every movie I've ever seen him in? I'm not sure he's an actor so much as a guy who just plays himself in every movie he's been in. I don't want him playing a dumb, immature cop (aka Stifler with a badge) The guy is 41 years old... he needs to grow up.

Often I come across adverts at the bottom of Web pages that say "The main reason why Hollywood won't cast Sean William Scott anymore"

i like Sean William Scott but i dont see him as Ricks yet maybe the first footage of him will change that but right now nahhhhhhh

Damn I havent seen him since American Reunion and his guest spot in It's Always Sunny.

I feel like his career kinda got the wind taken out of it's sails by Ryan Reynolds. Among other things like movie choices

I saw an article saying he's playing a new character. So now the title character of lethal weapon is not in lethal weapon.

It'll be his equally as crazy cousin.

They have not said yet but I am assuming he will be another loose cannon Riggs type character. Though they have not said what will happen to Riggs either (does he live or die off screen).

They could let him live and retire off screen in case they want to bring him back at some future point, unless Crawford burned those bridges beyond repair in which case we will probably see a funeral for him.

He had some really good roles until 2008 and then less and kess . Definitely achieved more than anyone from that franchise. Except Willow but then she had Buffy so she was famous prior to the film. Chris Klein and Shannon Elizabeth and Jason Biggs had a few films than disappeared

They should have him be a nice goofy guy and re-brand the series as "Non-lethal Weapon":whatever:

He's been flying under the radar mostly but he's never disappeared completely. Mostly he was doing voice work for the Ice Age movies.

So the irony is the actor acts like Riggs in real life and gets fired from his job.

Didn't care much for this show but now I will definitely be checking out with Sean William Scott being added to the cast

Not sure how they can get away with making SWS Riggs' brother since from all the flashbacks, Martin was an only child. They introduced a half-brother (likely from one of his dad's relationships after Martin's mom died) at the end of S2 but adding another one who just so happens to be a cop would be pushing realistic logic to the extreme. Doubt this show last more than a season with the replacement, especially with so many fans up in arms about the situation.

Also, here's Hilarie Burton's reaction to Crawford, which paints a different picture of the situation.

No shade, but I'll be really curious to see the list of actors they pursued for this if this is where they ended up.
