Let's Make The Marijuana Thread Again!

Have you guys heard the Ohio law flat out says only a few corporations are allowed to control the Ohio cannabis industry?

Seems sketchy.

Very interesting. Though I don't know if they can get away with that.

Apparently the law only allows for the production of marijuana in 10 predesignated sites, owned by the key backers who are pushing for legalization.

Now the anti-drug side is trying to push an anti-monopoly law.

Some weird bedfellows in Ohio.

I have mixed feelings.

Corporations can be effecient and offer a superior product.

I just hope the corporations can offer the variety and the competitive prices of the alcohol industry.

Actually those are my only concerns.

I have mixed feelings on it too, but ultimately I think it's more important to get it legalised.

As I understand it, the 4 outcomes are:
#3 passes, #2 fails - Legal weed (albeit with a monopoly on who profits from it)
#3 fails, #2 passes - Weed stays illegal.
both fail - ... duh.
both pass - it goes to court.

I'm guessing (or hoping) if it goes to court that a compromise would be reached where weed is legal but without the monopoly.

tonight was my first time blazing it in a looong, long time.

it's sort of a relapse, thing but it's complicated

got a job offer, but my heart's not really in it. but i should be happy, you know..

It's crazy that Nick Lachey can become a billionaire in a few years if the Ohio thing pans out for him.

It's absurd that he's asking the voters to give him and a few other people full control of the cannabis industry in Ohio.

"Hey everybody, vote to give me a monopoly and make me a billionaire. If you want legal cannabis, you have no other choice".

I'm glad a legal monopoly wasn't passed into law. It's the wrong way to legalize cannabis.

Though I wish headlines across the country said "Ohio voters reject cannabis monopoly" instead of "Ohio votes no on pot".

This is my favorite part:

The Court determined that the prohibition of the consumption of marijuana – and its cultivation for non-commercial ends – violates the human right to the free development of one’s personality.

I don't speak Spanish but they're speaking my language.

Just legalize it already. Everywhere. On a federal and state level. And then release anyone from prison who is locked up due to weed.

damn.. not to bump the thread or anything... but i just picked up 3 half ounces... 1 of 'Cheese' .. 1 of 'chemdawg 4' ... and 1 of 'Miss Bliss'... all look and smell superb, haven't tried them yet, about to try Miss Bliss first as it looks the best IMO.

So medical is back on the ballot here in Florida after failing to pass by a hair in 2014. Needed 60% and made it to 58.something % of the vote.

id expect it to pass this year... giving me some bit of hope................

.......

Georgia is never going to legalize :(

By all that is holy... I really wish I had some sticky fly. Been a LONG time.
