Let's Make The Marijuana Thread Again!

Just starting on medical marijuana for anxiety and depression, got approved for a card today.

Does anyone have any suggestions regarding what to look for, best kinds of strains to look into, and etc.?

Are edibles not an option?

Are edibles not an option?

I’m looking to vape.

Edibles and cream aren’t enough to cure what I have.

Also should note I’m in Florida if that helps people since I’ve heard what we get here is a lot more limited compared to what some other states can get.

At this point I also know Sativa would be best since it can help to slow down or stop anxiety and depression.

So knowing any other info about the types out there that particularly help with depresssion and anxiety would be awesome.

Not knowing the particulars of your issues I wouldn't want to get too over my skis but I can tell you that edibles give more of just about everything in terms of effect than smoking and are in the long run more bang for your buck as even small doses give the desired effect. There are also alcohol infused methods like Green or Gold Dragon that once again, because they are ingested give stronger affects for a longer period of time and I might add, Green or Gold Dragon can easily be made and stored for long periods.

For clarification with edibles, since just realizing I might be reading it wrong - is it like the CBD gummies (which is where my mind goes) or is it a lot more than that to "pot brownies" territory? I'm a complete novice, but I should also note that I don't eat chocolate and similar sweets like that.

While chocolate and brownies are the go to these days you can find recipes for marijuana infused food stuff very easily. And if you are doing this through legitimate channels I am positive your legal supplier or dispensarie would either have food stuff on hand or would be able to hook you up with a place that does stock edibles. Or you could cut out the middleman and prepare at home with your prescription. Don't like brownies? Make carrot cake. Don't want to drink weed infused alcoholic beverages? You can make a weed infused "tea" by boiling buds or even just stems in a mixture of water and say coconut oil as the boiling activates the THC and then it bonds with the oil. This is because it's a fat solvable compound. In any case, again, as you have pointed out that this isn't recreational use but medicinal/therapeutic in nature, you can stretch out your supply far longer and with less wear and tear on your lungs through eating weed products as compared to smoking.

There are a lot of resources available online detailing various home preparation methods that it shouldn't be to hard to find something that suits your needs. You can go to YouTube and find a lot of tutorials.

Good luck.

I went to California a week or so ago. I will just say that it was awesome to finally visit a legal dispensary (MedMen). What a great operation they have over there.

California's pretty much been recreational for like 10 years, not just medical. In effect, anyway.

Ah, yeah. Not like the bar to entry was exactly substantial, even before they went all on-the-record recreational.

Indeed, yes. The hellblazer blazes. That's not a joint in my avvy tho

I’m looking to vape.

I gotta say, after smoking for years and then acquiring a pax 3, I'm starting to prefer vaping to smoking. It's probably THE healthiest way to consume marijuana smoke. Not too harsh and obviously the taste is MUCH better. As long as you clean it pretty much every time you use it/are done using it and charge it regularly (I usually do it pretty much right after use lol ) it's very much worth that small bit of hassle

I LOVE Green Crack!

Was able to talk to two really cute guys - and with zero anxiety - one I've had a crush on for a long time now.

I feel... normal - for the first time psychologically.

Anyone who suffers from depersonalization- GET SOME GREEN CRACK NOW! 200% erased, to think this is what people without depersonalization feel like every time they talk to someone (plus an obvious high (or normal, having depression become normal this might be my normal...).

Don't mind me... Just dropping off some Weed Memes.

Hmmm...I wonder why this thread got renamed while the Alcohol thread remains just the Alcohol thread?

I was recently gifted a small (potted) plant. And just this morning I noticed that many of the lower leaves had developed brown splotches. The internet says this might be a calcium deficiency. Any further wisdom/help?

:toth

I moved into a new apartment, and a lot of the tenants are gardeners. I think someone in the apartment must be growing weed because the hall smells like pot constantly. They must have an endless supply. I get a contact high on my way to the grocery store trying figure out why I spent so much money, lol.

I know with tomato plants you can't get the leaves wet. I'm not sure if that applies in this case. But to avoid water splashing up from the dirt when watering or when it rains it's suggested layer the dirt with mulch/straw. Also, removing the bottom leaves to prevent the introduction of disease. Again, this is tomato plants.

Mind blown.
