Let's talk deleted scenes (merged)

I cannot believe that they've actually done the thing that I was so sure that they wouldn't do.. :(

Hey All

Also the GGB scene was cut down as well. Remember, all the trailers showed that one shot (it was one of the most technically impressive shots, IMO). It was of one of the sides breaking off and going left? I believe they only showed one end of the bridge disconnecting

Wasn't there like 2 set reports or something talking about Juggernaut throwing Wolverine into a tree??

Also, they never showed beasts jump from the trailer. Or maybe they showed it at a different angle? I remember him doing two big leaps and falling from the roof. Hmm, they better release a directors cut :(

I saw it too, they were kissing and some people thought Kitty's pants zipper was undone...

No wonder the run time was like 2 hrs 15 minutes... until they cut all this stuff... let's just hope the DVD offers extended versions and deleted scenes into the film...

I think they were just different cuts/angles of shots that we saw in the final film...

Also, if you watch the main trailer, at the end when the bridge drops, it’s night! I guess that would explain the sudden jump from day to night. I really don’t get why they cut so much

Oh yeah! *duh moment*

Seriously, that sudden turn to night really took me out of the movie, there was NO EXCUSE for that. :(

At least you quickly forget when Pyro gives his line! :D

Hmmm..I just watched that part again tonight and it was quite dark in the shot of Magneto turning away and walking with his army after the lady locks her car door..

here's my crazy theory for the cut footage and seamingly whacked out movie...

I think FOX pushed the makers to get the movie down to 1 hour and 45 minutes so they could have more screenings per theatre, thus giving them more money. It apparently worked, as we now see the 44 mil one day take.

Why else would ALL this footage be taken out of a movie which is so short to begin with? I could understand if the movie was like 2 hours 40 minutes long and they needed to chop out bits of dialogue here and there. But it wasn't. I looks like it was only AT MOST 2 hours long, maybe 2 hours 10 minutes. Shorter than X2 and still shorter than most summer blockbusters. I would not put it past FOX in the least to pull something like this.

They may make up for it with a directors cut DVD, but they better NOT screw us around and release a regular DVD first, then next summer release a REAL directors cut X-Men 3.5. I am so angry right now about all this. I have NEVER been mad at a movie before, EVER. Hell, I even liked Fantastic Four, Hulk, and DareDevil regular and Director's Cut because I understood what they were going for. I DO NOT understand the direction X3 took.

FOX officially sucks....:(

According to Ratner and the screenwriters only 30 seconds had to be cut.

Ratner says there are no deleted scenes just extended and alternate stuff.

he also said his attention span was short, he wasn't paying attention when he said that. :(

It will probably take a long time before we ever get an X-Men 3.5 when we still haven't gotten an X-Men 2.5. Will it be next on Singer's agenda or will he go straight into doing another Superman movie & put off X-Men 2.5 indefinitely?

There obviously was more than 30 seconds of scenes deleted. Some that I was looking forward to seeing. :o
