Gods... I watched this as a kid religiously for some reason:

For any that don't know... It's like if kid Ben Affleck was in a Castaway type movie with the folk from Sesame Street in tow trying to pull off the plot from Star Trek IV with the Humpback Whales or something. Also... Three guys got into a sleeping bag together naked one episode to teach us kids about hypothermia and standards and practices on PBS were like, "Cool beans".

The 80's.

...We had Hey Dude.

Gotta learn about ranch management somehow, right?
Oh, so that's what they were doing on that show. I remember my first year going to summer camp, thinking it would either be like that show or Salute Your Shorts. It was like neither.

Catchiest theme song this side of DuckTales, though.

I don't even know what type of show you're both talking about here, so instead I'm going to link this random episode from the Canadian children's game show Uh Oh!, which I loved.

You're going to have questions about... a few things...

I have no answers.

Ironically I just assumed growing up that like 3/4ers of Nickelodeon's live action shows were made in Canada. That's what it seemed like in the late 80's/early 90's.

"This was the hottest kids show produced in all of Saskatchewan five years ago... We'll get the U.S. broadcast rights for a steal!"

They include Quark, but don't make him a bartender? Throw it in the trash and start over.

Facebook in Australia: What happened after news was blocked?

If anyone thinks that using Facebook to access accurate news is the best way to go, they’ve got bigger problems than this...
:oldrazz:

I sometimes go to news sites/channels/papers to get news, but I’ve always been one of the more edgy ones.

Old Fogey me in my 20's knew that social media and reality TV would be powerful negative forces in our world twenty years ago.

But everyone that raised these issues were shouted down in public. There was a cottage industry of think pieces and essays that basically came down to "Ya'll just aren't with it enough".

That may be true but I was on the money when it came to how toxic this **** has and will continue to be for society.
