I have a theory.
Well, it's mostly just lengthy bouts of unluckiness.
I call it....the life of a geek..
Before you share your own 'luck's of geeks'...let me share my RECENT experiences [this last week, actually!].
Take a few days ago, I was at a party, and I discovered that a [girl]friend I turned down [my indecisiveness got the better of me- even thought she was my first kiss] was still infatuated with me. And....apparently I broke her heart. Now, I was somewhat taken aback and shocked to hear that I was a heart breaker- nevertheless, I resolved to talk to her that night.
So, that night, I went to talk to her and, y'know get things in perspective [i, in hindsight, could have waited til she sobered up a tad, as you will see].
Tapping her on the shoulder, she turned round, god forbid she would drop the 5 [im not jojking here, 5!] tequila glasses in her hands. ALL INTENDED FOR HER.
Geez. My thoughts ran something like this.
'Oh mayun. I almost went out with an alcoholic!'
Anyways, we got talking [ i say talking, mostly her nodding head in a drunken fashion].....and we 'got it straight' and went for a hug- what happens?
LUCK OF A GEEK!
She vomits on my top.
¬_¬
And a few weeks ago......a significant development in my love life.
A girl i've liked for AGES [from afar as in 'ooooh she's nice'] likes me back. Simple, right?
Not so.
She had a 20 year old bf who she recently broke up with.
ANYWAY.......i was gearing up to asking her out. But [as well as the fact that we dont REALLY see each other around school....but that can easily be changed with a little craftiness] i soon found out through much internal politics.....
that her BEST FRIEND fancies me, too.
UGH.
HER...BEST FRIEND?
That's mainly the crux of my love life.
Now on to last night.
I went to see 'That Mitchell And Webb Sound' on Radio 4 with my mates.
HOWEVER, I got on the wrong train and went halfway up the other end of london.
By the time I caught up with them, they had already got their tickets stamped to tell them, if they were in the 'definite' list to go in or on the 'reserve'.
You can guess what tickets my friends had!
I was on the 'reserve' list.
To top it all off, they had 16 free spaces- I was number 17.
so, i had to walk home on my own as my friends watched comedy gold.
i dont blame them for staying....i told them i'd go home.
ugh.
well that's me over.
share yours........
