Finally got it!!!! Okay here it goes. Lets start up with this battle. THE BATTLE OF THE BIG DOGS!

To make it more intersting Thanos has the Infinity Gauntlets.

Dark Pheonix by herself could take out the rest...I mean she destroyed a whole galaxy by herself...I don't see what the rest of those would do to her.

Actualy he does...and Thanos is good enought to take down Dark Phoenix, plus Thor rocks and hes good, better than people make him out to be.

First of all Tyrant is near the power of Galactus. A fully powered Galactus I am sure would easily hand Tyrant his ass but it would still be a very good fight. So I don't think the Pheonix Force would be able to do away with Tyrant that easily. As for the rest yes it would. Of course Thanos is not this stupid and would never take it head on. If Thanos did have the IG this is a no contest stupid pointless battle. But he doesn't have it.

Thor with the Odin power might be able to give the Pheonix force trouble but I doubt it would be more than a minor distracion.

In the end Dr. Strange is the trump card beyond all trump cards. He can hold his own against the LT (if the LT doesn't feel like obliterating him) and Eternity among the other top cosmics. So Jean and Strange could take them all down together.

With the IG, no contest and there would be no point....

Without it I think I would give it to the team on top for reasons stated above me...

Then again you cuold put Wolverine in there and he could take care of the pheonix......sorry just saw the movie last night and it grates me.

I would rank them (from strongest to weakest) as follows:

Thanos w/ Infinity Gauntlet
Dark Phoenix
Dr. Strange
Tyrant
Thanos without Infinity Gauntlet
Silver Surfer
Genis-Vell
X-Man (Shaman)
Thor
X-Man (pre-Shaman)

I may be underating X-Man (Shaman), since I pretty much only read his pre-Shaman appearances. But in those he wasn't as powerful as Silver Surfer, much less Dark Phoenix. I also wasn't sure where to place Genis-Vell, since I've read very little with him. And Strange is tricky to place -- Tyrant certainly has more raw power, but Strange has beaten some people who are more powerful than anyone Tyrant ever fought (unless this was the near-Galactus-level Tyrant only seen in flashback, before Galactus beat him and de-powered him.)

At any rate, if it's Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet he should beat them all. Yeah, Strange was able to hang with Warlock w/ IG for a while, but Warlock was eventually winning. And Thanos with the Gauntlet has trashed Galactus, Lord Chaos, Master Order, the Celestials -- basically every major cosmic being, at once. So if it's Thanos with the Gauntlet, it's no contest.

If it's Thanos without the Gauntlet, Dark Phoenix would win the day, especially with Strange backing her up.

If I were to add King Thor to my above ranking, I'd probably stick him between Tyrant and Thanos (sans Gauntlet). This might mean I'd have to move Genis up since he's taken on King Thor, but I'm not so sure. I've only seen some scans of that fight, but they gave me the impression they didn't really fight that much, maybe not enough to prove anything. (If I'd read the whole thing, I might feel otherwise.)

Thanos has actually been shown capable of going toe to toe with Tyrant, so I would put them as equals or damn near close to.

It looked to me like Tyrant was faring better than Thanos in that fight (assuming you're talking about Cosmic Powers #6 -- I think that's what it was called.) Plus, he had stolen one of Tyrant's energy storage units and was using it to help him. Hence why I have Thanos at least a bit below Tyrant.

Still, Thanos did better against Tyrant in that series than anyone else seemed to, including a bunch of Galactus's heralds.

Hmm... nice one.
As much as i Love Absorbingman ( in my mind he's like: Electro. Far Far Far crappier than he should be, mostly due to lack of imagination )
I'm gonna go with Beta Ray on this one.
He was able to beat Thor without Stormbreaker, was worthy of lifting mjolnir and now has the abilities of thor (roughly) added to what he started with.

meaning basically Beta Ray is awesome.

It should be 5-3 in favor of team 1. That is assuming Thanos does not have the infinity guantlet, if he does it is a stupid terrible match up. Since with it Thanos can take on every single being in the MU by himself at once. Stupid, stupid, stupid if he has it.

Wrong, not even close. The Pheonix force is a cosmic entity that can level Galaxies. Thanos being extremley powerful is no where near that level. And Strange has proven to be not just a top teir hero but a top teir being in all of the Marvel Universe. Your points suck.
