BvS Likely Deductions About Who'll Be Cast as the Next Batman

Lol that is not intense, that is a pretty boy trying to act intense. He doesn't even speak a work in that clip

Matt Bomer's voice could work for Batman. (IMO.)

As for him being a "pretty boy" (boy at 35 years old ?) he will look more ugly (if that's what you want) as he gets older, then make-up can do the same thing)

Val kilmer, George Clooney and Christain Bale were also good looking.

There is a difference between handsome and pretty. Bomer is pretty, Kilmer, Clooney and Bale are handsome. And his voice does not work at all... he's better suited as Nightwing

I think Bomer might actually look a little too much like Cavill too.

How about Patrick Wilson

Timothy Olyphant

Bomer doesn't have the intensity, sorry. He's too young if Jett is right and theyre going for a mid 40s actor. He's more billionaire playboy Bruce and that's it. Like how Manganiello is only good for Batman. Bomer could be Hal Jordan maybe.

Olyphant has a small frame and Wilson would be better as Barry Allen. I like Wilson a lot as an actor, but his acting style seems better suited to Flash rather than Batman

If Snyder wants an older Batman, I'm predicting right now that Jon Hamm will be cast, he's already worked with Snyder

And watching that clip shows how small Bomer's frame is. Narrow shoulders. RDJ size. And I don't care what anyone says it's extremely obvious how small RDJ is in the marvel movies. It doesn't bother me just saying.

It's Hamm or Bale. Ive made up my mind lol. And if they go young it's Bentley.

I know people are saying that Hamm can't be cast because of his commitments to Mad Men. But he is playing the lead in Million Dollar Arm in 2014, I'm pretty sure if he can find time to play the lead in a movie, that he can be Batman in a movie where Batman isn't the only main character.

I'm pretty much with you Shauner. Except I think I'd prefer Hamm over Bale. I want a new Gotham, a new Batman. One that's inspired by Arkham City.

For me its Hamm or Mount

younger, Gyllenhaal or Bentley

agreed, Bomer is too similar. I mean I can't fathom Synder going, "well you were close for Superman, so you can be Batman." No. Same goes for Joe Mag. No.

Jon Hamm would be the perfect older Batman/Bruce.

Whoever said that RDJ didn't look small? He's a small guy, he always looks small. His wearing six inch heels does not change. that fact.

Bomer is kinda slim for my taste as well and he looks like Cavill's brother.

I agree with Hamm and younger, I am not sold on anyone.

I really think Hamm is the perfect choice to appease fans after the great Bale. If Hamm can get a little bulked up he'd be absolutely perfect. He looks so much more like Bruce than even Bale did.

Hamm is the comics Batman come to life

I'll give Jett some credit where it's due. He hasn't really been a "scoop" guy for a long time now, but he did end up reporting that Bane was the villain for TDKR (very covertly on his forums mind you) a good month before the announcement when everyone else was still reporting stuff about Hugo Strange and The Riddler.

If anyone honestly think Jett doesn't have any sources as WB and just makes stuff up, they're flat out misinformed. Most have probably dried up, but at the very least he's got the same "guy" he's had since the beginning (who goes by an alias and is openly referred to as his oldest and most reliable source by Jett). BOF is kind of like AICN when it comes to scoops now. Both have been in the game since the very beginning of internet movie journalism, but the industry has changed a lot since then. More secretiveness, misinformation, random rumors being spread etc. But every once in a while they get something right.

I don't trust Jett any more or less than I do El Mayimbe. In fact I think they're about on par with each other when it comes to their accuracy with WB/DC scoops. I don't take what they say as gospel, but I don't outright dismiss it either.

^This.

Yeah Arkham City + Hamm would be the greatest gift ever. It's now my top choice too with Bale right behind.

Also, they start shooting Mad Men in October. His schedule is clear I believe. It's also the final season which probably starts airing when they begin Bats/Supes in April-ish. Or they'll at least be shooting the movie already.

Bale, Bentley, Bomer.

Visually Bomer looks like a superhero. He looks more like Superman than Batman, and I haven't seen any of his work that would make me think he'd make a good Batman. He could do Bruce but he has no intensity for Batman

If its an older Batman, it should be Jon Hamm, he's easily the best choice for a 40 something.

AGREED. Does anyone NOT want Hamm as a seasoned Batman?

also Josh Brolin would make a GREAT miller-verse, pissed off, prep time Batman. But his Ex wife is mama Kent so probably not gonna happen (unless that character isnt in the film)

Jon Hamm - Batman
McConaughey - Luthor (only if he doesn't have the Texas drawl)

How does Matthew get rid of his texas drawl?
Voice transplant?
He ALWAYS has it .

Where did you find out when they start shooting Mad Men?

i thought Bentley's career was put on hold after Ghost Rider :oldrazz:

I wouldn't hate him for getting the role , but there is an element about his casting that wouldn't get me excited.

Not like Hamm or Brolin or Bradley Cooper or even Gosling (who Ive actually cooled on recently...)

I'm not a fan of a significantly older Batman/Bruce. Nor do I want a rookie. I want someone who is around Cavill's age (and no, I don't think all superheroes should be around the same age...just Clark and Bruce). I want to see them grow together as heroes...experience challenges together for the first time, and I want to see how the manner in which they each view and react to those challenges begin to shape their individual philosophies on crimefighting, and on life. I don't care to see an older Bruce coming across as the grumpy veteran to a super-powered rookie.

i would be very surprised if they start shooting mad men in October. Showrunner takes his sweet ass time scripting....
