:wow: Damn, that is a crazy-sweet pic, but still not rooting for Brolin...even if they are going for an older Batman(which I think is a great idea...having a Batman with a few years of experience under his belt will help 'offset' the vast difference of power level between the 2 characters), I think Brolin's a few years TOO old(and he LOOKS it). If they want a Batman who's been around a few years and is older than Clark, they should just shoot for just a few years older, portray the character as late 30's/very early 40's TOPS. There's still only one choice on my mind.....

Perfection.

....and THIS is it. Urban would be GREAT.

How many different actors do you think people on SHH suggest.

Facially Brolin has a pretty decent look for Burce/Batman, physically he's a bit of a smaller proportioned guy though. He's about 5'10" but looks a bit shorter actually due to the fact his arms and legs are pretty short themselves.

It's not a deal-breaker but it depends on how big some people want batman to appear physically? It would be more a throwback to Keaton physically wise.

Ugh, the past few days were great with no Urban mention.

"I don't like superhero movies and what's the point in making a movie about an invulnerable man?! So, anyway, I'm making a movie with Henry Cavill..."

So he's already offended his co-star, nice going Hammer.

You left me no choice man. :funny:

Also, this just popped up.

.

That is freaking cool, if its an older guy that isn't Bale, Brolin's who I want

Probably get laughed at for this. My first choice was Karl Urban but what about Hugh Jackman. He's a great actor and we all know he can kick some ass on screen too. Might be a bit old though

I'm meh on Urban, I kinda like him in a nerdy way because he was in Lord of Rings and Star Trek but I just can't muster up any enthusiasm for him as Batman.

Not true. That logic makes no sense. If anything, "the Nolan connection" just makes Wes supporters, such as myself, all the more hopeful that he might get the role. Again, people aren't going to want an actor to be Batman "only" because he was recently cast in a Nolan film unless they could give two ****s about this film, and I don't think that's the case for any of us on here.
I'm sorry but I do think that there is a bandwagon effect and I'm not claiming to be immune. I think that some (I'm not saying you necessarily) will put him above choices that they like better because they think he has that Nolan Glow now.

Yeah. I mean, I love the man. He's a great Bones and he seems like a genuinely good guy. But he lacks screen presence for lead roles and he's not talented enough to play an interesting Batman.

If he'd never played Wolverine he'd have been perfect

That Hammer quote made me facepalm. He decides he thinks comic book movies are stupid now, only after he'd agreed to star in one :whatever:

About 1,000. And that's just actors. You also have to factor in about 200 pro wrestlers, UFC fighters, male models, dancers and newspaper vendors that apparently have the requisite "gruff manly" voice.

Sensible/likely suggestions: apprx 4.

He was last seen with Regwec. :ninja::wow:
:joker:

EPIC manip skills.

It's Jett too, when he gets real specific he usually ends up wrong lol.
Guessing tends to work out that way.

I think the problem, as that image illustrates, is that Cavill has much more noble, handsome features than Urban. I like Urban, and he was fantastic as Dredd, but him and Cavill together look like Mario and Luigi.

i hope it is brolin a great actor with tons of range i have seen him play tough and bad ass aswell as charming and charismatic and a big name actor in some lead/co lead roles in several big films like oldboy, gangster squad,W,sin city 2,no country for old men,Milk, true grit,MIBIII,etc.

he also has the perfect jawline for the cowl!!

I think Batman should be younger than Auperman, so a lot of the older suggestions aren't doing it for me.

Well the only big reason why I'd see Brolin not being picked is due to him jut having divorced Diane Lane, thus making things a bit awkward and I know that directors try to avoid that kind of drama on set.

The thing is though, it wouldn't make sense for a young Batman to have the time in being invested on a global scale when it comes to his duties since he should be more focused in getting established in Gotham and cleaning up its mess first before he goes outside the box.

I think the perks to having a older batman is that they wouldn't have to wait too long in order for Batman to be in a story where he recruits and trains the likes of Robin, Batgirl, etc since I'm in the camp that believes that the whole Bat-Family can be done well and right if it's in the hands of the a competent person with the right vision.

I'm not big on Bentley myself. I just don't see it. Whenever I think of him I get Blackheart flashbacks.

Of course it did. :oldrazz:

I think that most just want him for the role because he has a role in Interstellar and they assume Nolan is casting the film even though we don't know how involved he will be in this sorta sequel to MOS.

And before somebody calls me out I'll acknowledge that some wanted him before he was cast in Interstellar.

Haha! :D

Oh right, I didn't know he'd been cast in Interstellar. I always think of him from the first Ghost Rider film.
