Live Action 'Dumbo'

I assume Hanks will be playing this a**hole:

Does that a**hole have a heart of gold? Because otherwise Smith won't play him :o

"This elephant... is probably about the only thing I have left to show my family I can do something that matters to not just them... but everybody."

Burton & Hanks team up is just as interesting as Burton & Will Smith.

And Will Smith & Tom Hanks in a film is JUST as interesting as the two above !!

These three are Hollywood's Finest.

I still don't see how this is going to work.
This is one of the last films from Disney that needs a live-action adaptation.

I'd much rather a Burton 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' over this.
Just thinking about it, alone, gives me chills.

‘Dumbo’ A No Go For Will Smith http://deadline.com/2017/02/dumbo-will-smith-not-starring-in-tim-burton-film-disney-1201908049?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter …

Talks between Will Smith and Disney have broken off and he will not be starring in Dumbo, the Tim Burton-directed live action adaptation of the classic 1941 animated film. The studio continues to move aggressively toward a production start with a script by Ehren Kruger about the big-eared, lovable elephant. This was an intriguing family film option for Smith, but he had not committed and it didn’t work out for the usual reasons, including salary and scheduling. Among other percolating projects, Smith is moving toward a production start with Sony Pictures on Bad Boys For Life, a re-team with Martin Lawrence which has Joe Carnahan directing his script.

Truth probably is he wanted to be the central character of the film. And he probably wanted a role for his son.

That's the Will Smith from five years ago. I think even he's sick of his son by now.

Disney should just drop this whole idea. There is no need for a live action Dumbo film.

What Salary could Smith be possibly demanding? Disney can afford to pay any amount but whatever Smith was asking for Disney clearly didn't think he was worth it. Smith ain't all that anymore. He needs to have a proper hit before he can start legitimately demanding big boy pay cheques.

I figure he was maybe the voice and mocap of Timothy Mouse. I don't know what other role he'd be in aside from the crows maybe.

And Michael Keaton is in talks to be the "villain". Now let's get Michelle Pfeiffer in there and make this legit.

There was a villain?

Is this going to turn into "Water for Elephants" or something?

Maybe a villan clown.

He does kinda resemble Hanks.

And Michael Keaton is in talks to be the "villain".

I have little interest in this but I'm happy to see these two working together again. Michael Keaton always speaks of Tim Burton with complete reverence. He's always been very loyal to him.

Strange how they haven't worked together in 25 years.
