The labcoat just makes it so much more visually interesting, instead of just green skin throughout.

i thought that the lab cout could work. some said that it couldnt. so if you never saw him with a lab coat it would be ok. but the problem is that we saw him with the lab coat now and it works. so now i am angry that he will not have the lab coat the whole movie. it works.

Lizard having the labcoat to me is like The Hulk having his purple pants or blue/gray. Makes it more interesting to look at since it provides a nice contrast.

Well, at first the character's name was Van Atter, but it was changed to Dr. Ratha

Yes Labcoat awesomeness!!! I honestly didn't think Sony would release any Stills for the Lizard considering its been this long without anything official and the movie is not too far away now.

Remer the still with Ratha pointing a gun in a lab, this is that lab. Best guess is he goes to find the forumla to sell it to someone or perhaps Norman wants it back. Then The Lizard attacks him from there, Spider-Man then comes along and in the battle the lab coat tears off.

I think that now that fans see the lab coat they can finally ask themselves just how important it was at the end of the day.

It's always the same story but for the first time in a while, it seems we are presented with this opportunity.

I knew it would work and I have always said that Lizard is lizard because of his look he doesn't just look like a creature in a movie with the lab coat on. I'm so happy they didn't completely screw it up.

Couldnt agree more, it also makes the character scarier, in that this is a big powerful creature, but with the falacy of human emotions behind it, what happens when the Lizard gets angry for example.

The lizard looks WAAAYYYYY better with the lab coat. Its essential that they keep a horrific reminder to audiences that what was once a normal man transformed into this horrific monstrous being and the labcoat does that easily. I don't know why people were supporting a naked lizard or acting as if it was better in the first place
