was at NYCC yesterday and you had to really search for any x-men related merchandise it was almost a taboo subject when you even ask why but Deadpool was represented well but the "core" xmen were non existent only for the people that came in dressed as them other than that Nothing

Makes me sad.

But the tides are turning. Marvel Legends X-men series are selling like hotcakes. The Toys R Us's of the world are having a hard time holding on any of the 1 per box X-men characters (save for the occasional Havok or Pryde or Cable). A Toys R Us employee told me, after I asked him where all the Marvel Legends X-men figures are, that collectors line up every morning).

Marvel has realized fans are starved for anything X-men and I hope they learn from this.

LegiXn is already being played by someone else in the upcoming FX show. So I don't think that actor Boyd is playing him. I hope he's playing Omega Red.

Films these days show WAY too much. I like that they are holding things close. I wish more movies would do this bc people expect alot before going in, which IMO defeats the purpose of seeing it

According to The Wrap Xavier hasn't lost his powers, they are just unstable and he hasn't lost his memories eithers its just an old age mental illness where he occasionally forgets alot of things.

Let's wait and see.

Maybe Wolverine killed all the X-Men besides Xavier just like in the comic book version of Old Man Logan?!?!?! Would hate to see that. But maybe? This shock would be enough to let a old guy Xavier lose his mental health in a view minutes.

Wolverine not instantly committing suicide after that will be very difficult to explain though! "Hey, I am from a post-apocalyptic future where all mutants live in concentration camps. I was send to the past to change the future. After I successfully changed the future I, unfortunately, was mindcontrolled to kill all my friends and family a view weeks later. Jean's dead, Scott's dead, Storm's dead and all the students at the institute too. Bummer!"

The decline of their respective powers could've caused their raped aging.

I'm sure Jean, Scott, Storm, Hank etc. will be off doing something else mentioned in an offhand comment, and the plot of the film will require Logan to specifically be the one to take care of the Professor.

Neither the original triology, DOFP future or The Wolverine actually give a date. Logan and the First Class trilogy are the only movies to do that. (And no marketing material doesn't count.) So honestly I don't think there is a problem here.

Based on what The Wrap said i am gonna speculate and say Xavier will be in some old age home or something being taken care off and logan for whatever reason will need his help with something but xaviers powers are unstable and he doesn't always remember who logan is and caliban or steven merchants character is basically be like his carer.

They may throw in a comment about the X-Men or one of the other X-Men like xavier perhaps calling logan scott before logan corrects him and saying no its logan profossor, stuff like that, but i honestly don't see any cameos or deep explanation about the other X-Men

I doubt they will say the X-Men are dead, they just won't mention them, we didn't need to know where they were in The Wolverine so same will probably happen with this movie.

Yes, not completely, their powers are unstable, thats why Xavier is sometimes "alzheimer"
and wolverine, auto-healing's failure, or Logan's aging making him all grey hair whereas he had brown/grey hair in 2023

Me too I believe this future would set some years after DOFP

In basic timeline, Sentinels destroy the world, in new timeline it could be Mr Sinistre.

Where are Scott and Jean? Why aren't they taking care of him? Are they dead again? Lol

It will be interesting to see some explainations about the others x-men

It's just like the MCU - there's no need for every Avenger to be in the solo films. Just the characters that are needed. This film is trying to directly subvert the conventions of these large superhero blockbusters anyways, no need to stuff miscellaneous characters haphazardly. (esp. big characters like the main X-Men)

Knowing this franchise, they'd be better off not mentioning them if they're gonna end up contradicting themselves later on or making some drastic leap like this film anyways.

well civil war was really an avengers film calling itself a captain America
film.an,despite me not liking spider-man in civil war,the best avengers film
made so far.

Logan will probally be except for xavier and introuduction of x-23 mainly about wolverine.like the wolverine they will largely ignore the X-Men.remember in interviews james mangold said X-Men were eather dead or gone.
