Now I feel stupid for not thinking that, but yeah, Mr. Robot makes sense.

Agreed. I need an explanation of where or what happened to Cyke, Storm, and Jean and if dead I won't be happy.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but "Mutants, they're gone now" does not bode well for the survival of those characters.

Plus the fact that Professor X isn't still at the school should tell you all you need to know. Someone really did a number on the X-Men.

Well I really liked that trailer. Now the name doesn't seem that bad.

Quoting in case folk missed it.

Daken's claw configuration it looks like.

Trailer seems to have a pretty huge impact. Hurt is #30 on iTunes.

Mangold worked closely with Fox to release this trailer and he just knocked it out of the park. Seems to have made a pretty big (even tremendous) impact and changed views about this film online.

While they could still use the premise set up in Logan for X-force it does seem likely that chances are cable will show up first in deadpool 2 and not Logan.

And the idea of cable suddenly showing up in this wolverine story to take this 11 year old girl to the past to end the film is really questionable.

I'm talking about an after credit scene they can film once they have the Cable actor picked.

I've been thinking about this trailer all day. I'm a massive Cash fan, and his cover of Hurt was one of my favorite songs. As soon as I heard that first guitar note, I knew this was going to be something special. It was such a wonderful use of the song. I loved everything about this trailer. It left me feeling excited and sad at the same time. Such a weird feeling.

I loved Stewart's sad smile. It spoke volumes. I'm going to be so worried about him in this film, like he was my own grandfather, it feels like. I don't want him to get hurt, haha.

Logan's weakened healing factor leaving scars is a nice touch; it feels like it's far more impactful than the way it's been used in the past. I loved the close up of his hands and seeing the open wounds from his claws.

The head stab in the international trailer was unexpected and very much welcome.

I'm interested to see where they go with the girl/X23 (I assume).

I'm not upset at all about the recasting of Caliban; this takes place at least 30 years in the future. Getting an older actor for a small preexistimg role like this is one of the few times it makes sense in this franchise.

I'm going to be very sad to see Jackman leave the character behind, but if this trailer is any indication of the tone, quality, and maturity of the film itself, I think it'll be a fine send off.

I think there are only 4 sets of claws going against Logan's... Daken has 6 (3 on each arm)... The layout does look like his though... Just trying to catch all 6 claws of his.

I can't remember who, but someone somewhere here on the Hype found this http://imgur.com/a/ebZ8P

I had the same conversation with my friend, and I had to concede as he couldnt see six, this had him going "got me there"

I can't tell how many times I've watched this today. There's something about this trailer that feels like a proper film. I haven't felt that since TDK.

I cannot wait to find out what happened to the other X-Men! This seems such a big transition from Dofp's ending.

Okay, I went from not caring about this to being extremely pumped for it! Everything about that trailer just feels so very right.

Never really given it much thought, but it's kind of astonishing that Jackman has stuck with this character for as long as he has. His tenure as Wolverine is double the length of RDJ's time as Iron Man thus far. If Michael Keaton had played Batman for as long as Jackman's been playing Wolverine, his last Bat-film appearance would've been in 2006.

I am so stoked for this, but seriously when will the X-Men get a break? Wolverine reset the past only for them to be wiped out again. It'll be a little strange watching the films taking place in the past starring the rebooted cast knowing that most of the characters will probably end up dead in spite of everything.

I think it's the cinematography, composition, and editing. Helps it stick out from the rest of these films, in a good way.

man i cant stop watching this damn trailer lol i just have this feeling but i feel like we are getting something really special here

I feel like there has to be some sort of built-in "out" for future movies. Not necessarily a "Let's go back and time and fix this" like DOFP, because that doesn't seem like the kind of movie they're going for here, but we just got the new Cyclops/Jean/Storm/Nightcrawler/etc., even if Apocalypse was kind of a s***show, I'm sure there's more to come, and I doubt they'll go "Well, we gave Hugh his grand finale, enjoy your imminent doom, f***ers."

I'm hyped for this, but let's remember how good the trailers for X3 and Apocalypse were as well haha :csad: and I hope the third act wont' have some 180 degree turn from mostly realistic to wtf giant robot marrow sucking suit with dying man inside.

If I had to guess, I'd say that over the course of New Mutants, Deadpool 2 and X-Force we see them correcting or altering this distant future. I mean Cable's whole shtick is that he's from the future and trying to make the world a better place to prevent it from going **** up like his was. Stopping Essex from doing...whatever it is that he's done to the world could be the major plot point of X-Force.

Ehh. True enough about X3, but that was a first-timer director on the franchise, whereas this is Mangold's second go-round. As for Apocalypse, the trailers never sold me. There always seemed to be something a little off about the marketing. Then, upon release, it became clear that the marketing really reflected the movie itself.

To me, this is weirdly almost the inverse of The Wolverine. The trailers/tv spots never did anything for me, but this has already got me hook, line and sinker.

The marketing for the film does feel a bit more confident, as if they really know what they have on their hands. Mangold may have a bit more say in how they're promoting the film it seems. Jim seems to have his been able to make his film, so as long as that vision isn't a bad one, I think the end product will be good.

Just the part about Xavier being in Logan's head.I hope that's not the case. Not that it's necessarily a bad idea but there's a certain popular show on right now whose main premise tackles imaginary people and the mental psyche and I'd rather not see that here too.

I personally don't think Xavier is in Wolverine's head. The part that people think is the berserker rage where the camera is jumping and its all blurry there is an old man in a wheelchair with guns being held on him, you only see him from behind but it looks like Xavier.
